This is basically what I was getting at in a nutshell.
We never do a full scale rebuild like we should. It’s what I wanted to do after we drafted Zion. Instead Griff tried to do a two timelines thing and win during Zion’s rookie year. We should have tanked for at least a couple more years to put more top 5 picks around zion

You keep Trey. He will continue to get better.
I don’t see him getting any better. He is what he is. A tall spot up shooter. Doesn’t defend. No handles. Not a playmaker. He’s really a dime a dozen type of player in the NBA now. If you can fool some team into giving you something decent, I would trade him in a heartbeat

Typical Dan. Person makes a standard reply and he drops a "OK WHAT THE DO YOU WANT???
Brother I am not mad at all.. I didn't even bold that statement and the exaggeration was in reference to the clear lack of resolve, not specifically what Muddogs said.
You are the exact type of person who ends up getting called "retarded" for responses like this instead of simply responding like Muddogs did with clarification. Its crazy how he just gave a simple response and I simply liked his message instead of him getting butthurt because of the "way I said something" and then it ending with someone being called retarded.
All you have to do is not be sensitive or emotional, its really not hard.

But when you go around calling everyone a fricking retard all the time it gets pretty old. Dude has become more tiresome than Yaz was
If I hurt you in the past I'm not sorry because I literally don't remember. But being completely honest I've been pretty chill on here as of late and only shite talk extreme pessimists. This is like the 3rd time you've jumped on me and tried to bring up past stuff to egg it on. Its weird and trying to compare me to Yaz and othera is just dumb. Are you the guy who called me "literally the worst poster on here"? Laughable.

In his defense, nothing wrong with trying to be positive about the team you pull for.
But thank you.

I think he's just mad because before the season started he had the Pels as a team with 3 potential all stars and this gem of a take..
The funniest thing about this post is that I made sure to clarify that those standings were with HEALTHY rosters and that any of the (3) Z/ Poole/ Trey can be all stars and agreed it is unlikely/ impossible that all 3 are. I'm also pretty sure I responded the last time you called me out and said its been underwhelming and disappointing.
So at this point you just sound like a bitch. But atleast not retarded.

Trey is perfect as the 3rd best player on a team, and he is paid that way also.
Trey is the least of the problems on this team

Sell the team. No one cares about the Pelicans and its obvious by what Gale keeps putting out there

Good point.
Why would we drag this on? What about this season has been fun? It's time to blow it up and build around two exciting rookies.

How is he more valuable than guys like Dillon Brooks or Thybulle?
Thybull and Herb are making similar money but Dillon is getting double that. Dillon justifies the money with his offensive production and contributions to wins. What I was talking about is more internal for the Pels. Husky and Tre are getting what 36 and 25 ? and have had marginal results with the team and both pretty bad on the defense, that the NBA is tilting to. Herb's defense is a known quantity for a team that needs help on that side of the ball for 12.

He for sure has the potential to be a #3 but I agree that #1/ #2 are out of the conversation. The dude can score 30+ pts any given night but cannot be "the man". Its interesting because I've never seen someone who can take over a game with their shot that simultaneously can't facilitate or run the offense under any capacity.
I just don't see Treys value going down in the next 1-2 years for it to be worth it to trade him now. Even if you don't trust him you still plan for Fears/ Queen / etcc to pass him up and keep him as a role player on a good contract for what he can do. You just don't give him that next contract in 4 years and make sure to trade him before he's an expiring.
If the Pelicans were smart they would keep Bey/ Trey for the foreseeable future as they are actual 3pt scorers with a pulse.
