The NBA made a big mistake not airing the greatness Joe Dumars is building here in NOLA. The owner wanted to play on Jesus birthday.

Right Dan? Chad?

I really thought the DeAndre Jordan re-signing was going to get us over the hump for a Christmas Day game.

They wouldn't put us on national tv at midnight during Kwanzaa let alone Christmas Day

Could literally care less about the "value" of a Christmas game.

I'll chose to be excited about year 2 of fears and queen.

You can choose to stay miserable.

Let's keep it our secret! On that note you kicking the rest of the team to the curb? That is not what Joe is preaching.

Why does the NBA still play on Christmas Day?

The NFL has claimed it and they’re never gonna give it up

The fact that you are typing this on a Pelicans talk board during the offseason is hilarious. Wtf are you even doing here then?

There's a large group of people who apparently follow the Pelicans as haters and not fans.

Imagine having the energy to follow the Pelicans and keeping up with them of all teams out of hatred.

Spending your time to hate the Pels instead of simply finding something else to do might be the most pathetic existence ever.

You inferring this from my statement about queen and fears says more about you than it does about me.

Zion and Trey are what they are at this point. If we do anything above what your Debbie downer arse thinks we'll do it'll be because of those two players.

They’re my hometown team. I want them to be good, but they have given me very little to be optimistic about going into this next season. They essentially return the same lineup that was so putrid that the season was essentially over before Christmas. I can understand why the NBA wouldn’t want to put this team on display in prime time. They’re not a serious organization with a team in contention, nor do they have some big name star that casual fans want to see.

Completely understood. But you have to realize that Queen/ Fears are bright spots and are a way out.

Teams have rebuilding years. Fans of this specific team have wanted to rebuild for years. We are finally doing it and everyone is upset.

There isn't a problem with being pessimistic about the season but y'all are acting like its the same season as the last 5+. Its not.

Z is not untouchable, Trey is not untouchable, Herb is not untouchable, etccc. This isn't 4 years ago with no way out, no good young assets, and a future knowing you are stuck with Z/ BI.

We finally have young assets that can have a larger impact than their predecessors and we finally have confirmation that we are ready to blow it up.

We didn't have a Zion/ Trey/ Herb as trade assets when we got CP3, Zion, AD. Now we have Fears + Queen and those assets.

This is the brightest outlook we have ever had with the most assets we have ever had.

That can't be ignored simply because Zion or others are still on the team. He's here because we need value for a trade and not because we are refusing to trade him for the next 3 years like in the past.

You are the one being a Debbie Downer. Seems like you are going all in on Queen and Fears being MVP's. Our luck they will both go on IR or Joe trades them for 2nd round picks. Quit putting pressure on Queen and Fears.

Again, you are such an extremist with this team, you inferring this says more about you than it does me.

I think Queen is legit good (though I fear we gave up too much for him).

Fears shows a ton of potential.

Herb is a legit great defensive player.

I have zero faith in Zion as he’s a lazy defender and rebounder with zero perimeter shooting. The time when he was a valuable trade asset has long since passed.

I predict 3/4 of those players will be injured before the all-star break, half will play less than 40 games this season.

I hope I am wrong, but this team looks like a rerun.

Very disappointing the new Bruno's has a Knicks banner. No Pelicans banner in sight.

classic New Orleans college bar Bruno’s Tavern reopens. See what’s new, what’s back.

People are still amazed that a career backup player who will never be worth more than 2nds was traded for 2nds? I swear some people here must wake up and get surprised about how hands and toes work.
