Downvote number 50...

Now, for the 46,757th time, Jrue is not getting traded unless he asks to be traded, and hes not asking to be traded..

Not to mention, Langdon dont have that pull, any trade would go through Griffin

I had a dream the other night that Langdon shockingly traded Jrue for draft picks

Thank you - tonight I will dream about joining the elite board and never having to read another post from Ruler1 again.

Griffin has no attachment to jrue, whose value will never be higher than it is now. He probably has no qualms about trading jrue for the right offer considering he’s 29, has injury history and may not line up with the Pels window

Everyone wants to act like jrue is so loyal. He said AD was 90% of the reason we signed here and we gave him a $126 mil deal look I like the guy but let’s not pretend he’s untouchable or that we owe him anything

And if all of those young players end up good you’ll have a hard time paying them.

I agree Jrue should go. He wont fit in with the future.

What you think we could get for him?

1st round 10-15 pick?

so in a year you give Ingram a big contract.

Then if Zion, Reddish, Garland are all good you have all of them with their deals expiring at the same time. Cam Reddish fricking sucks, too.

This team wouldn’t win shite. By the time they are decent you are paying out the arse for a handful of players and can’t afford much else. Vets are important. Having flexibility is important.

So without an AD trade even happening and you have no clue what the trade will be your assumption is Jrue doesn’t fit.

What if it’s Boston and the return is Tatum and Horford and one of Smart/Brown + picks. That’s a team with vets, and young guys. It’s a team that can win.

What if it’s with the Clippers and the return is SGA, Galo and Harell. Also a team with young guys, and vets. That team can win.

Jrue fits in perfectly with these situations.

If the route is the Knicks, where they trade AD for #3, Robinson, etc, then trading Jrue starts to make sense.

Horford will opt into his contract unless he gets traded. but you're point is correct. Jrue isn't going anywhere.

Griff has said multiple times that this isn't an organization that can bottom out. Plus with the new tanking rules, being bad don't guarantee top-flight prospects. We will see more examples of Chicago and their 3 consecutive #7 picks now.

Keeping Jrue is about culture. In a healthy culture, you get older guys, guys in their prime, and young guys. Plus with the hiring of Aaron Nelson, this organization will attract the Vince Carter's of the NBA. Guys looking to extend their career

Griffin has already said Jrue is the heart of this team and is not going anywhere..

I dont know where yall get all these narratives from, I guess the same way things get spread like "Zion is going back to Duke, will refuse to play for New Orleans", or "AD will only re-sign in LAL"

Quit sucking off Fletch and his stupid arse articles, and actually pay attention to what our VP is saying

You serious? Every team in the NBA would give that pick for Jrue.

Go back and look at picks 10-15 from the past 6-7 drafts. There are only a few that you would take over Jrue in that span. You dont trade a borderline all-star and lock down defender for a crap shoot.

Jrue is still undervalued too. Go look up the pull up podcast with CJ McCollum & Jordan Schultz. CJ talks specifically about Draymond & Jrue being left off first-team all-defense shows that "people aren't taking this seriously" and that "we are putting way too much control in the media." Then CJ circles back again and says Jrue being left off first-team is insane.

Last year, KD was on the pod with CJ and they talked about how good Jrue is too.

I don't think y'all understand the type of player & leader this dude is. I want him in New Orleans for as long as I can hold onto him. I wouldn't trade him for Ja Morant

there are only 5 spots on 1st team, and they are still assigned by position even though that's less of an emphasis in today's game. the 1st team is not the "five best defenders" in the league, and there are more than five elite defenders to choose from.

holiday made 1st team last year and 2nd team this year...have a look at what the pels' team defense ranking was year

not a knock on jrue, at all.
but he's not underrated

2nd team is not all that bad.. If we had made the playoffs he would have been 1st team
