Yes, but my reasoning for it is to have a backup 4/5 for Zion,Melli and Favors.

Hayes has been struggling a bit lately, plus with that other guy we could better manage Favors's back in an attempt to keep him healthier for the playoffs

Cleveland 1st is not actually a 1st, hence why I quoted actually 2 2nds.

Plus, look at my post directly underneath, I used Pels as an example because I know what picks we have

from zach lowe's latest

- Miami unlikely to put Herro on the table for Jrue
- Denver isn't trading MPJ (for Jrue or anyone)

My bad, I glanced over the Cleveland part assuming it was a later Lakers pick. I still am not on the Covington train of thinking he's insanely valuable, but he does have 2 additional years on his contract after this one, I thought it was just next year. The trade you said it probably the absolutely furthest I'd go to get him

With the deadline looming on Thursday, the Warriors and Timberwolves remain engaged in trade conversations centered around D’Angelo Russell, league sources told The Athletic. There remain obstacles to overcome, but if the teams were to pull off a deal, it could be the closest thing to the kind of blockbuster that often highlights the frantic final days before the deadline.

So far in the Warriors-Timberwolves talks, Golden State would only consider a deal that has significant draft pick compensation as part of any Minnesota package, according to league sources. As a team currently in a rebuild, the Timberwolves are reluctant to sacrifice too much of their own draft capital in deals, including one for Russell.

if the wolves buckle and give GSW their 2020 pick, they should be contracted and the target center razed and salted

If we were to move Jrue, this is the deal I would jump in on if I were Griff.

Pels: Dieng, Covington, 20,23 Minny 1st, 20 Warriors 1st top 2 protected, unprotected 21

Warriors:Jrue

Wolves:Russ

You really think we are going to get 4 1sts for Jrue? Not even close to realistic.

Soggy is a great poster, but he's definitely a hope springs eternal type of guy.

Those trades are...not realistic.

Without Herro and Winslow on the table, I would not even answer the phone from Miami. They have no other assets.

It's 3 1sets.

Warriors 1st top 2 protected, if it doesnt convey unprotected in 21..

One 1st from Minny is for taking on the extra money in Dieng

Right, which means that Miami is likely not the answer.

Maybe things change in the offseason.

Warriors do it because Jrue is the perfect fit with Klay, Steph and Dray, and they likely come close or win 2 more championships with them 3

It's a great deal for Minny, so not sure what the problem is there

Minny not giving up 2 1sts and Covington for Russell and the right to dump Dieng unless those 2 1sts are highly protected.

Umm, if they wouldn't they are stupid as hell

And they almost have no choice, nobody will take Wiggins so to make money work Covington and Dieng have to go out

They are heading towards a rebuild. They would have to protect those 1sts pretty well even if they thought of sending them out.

If they were heading toward a rebuild they wouldn't be trying to acquire Dlo, they would be trying to sell off Wiggins

And if they do move towards a rebuild, they would have to move KAT also

They would not need to move KAT. He would be part of the rebuild. A rebuild does not mean they strip the team. He is young enough to be part of a rebuild. I think they would love to move Wiggins. Not sure they can get anyone to take him.

They would have to, KAT has already shown his frustration with losing he will not go through a rebuild without demanding a trade.

The whole purpose of them going after Dlo is to try to appease KAT a little and hope he doesn't demand out

ETA: And yeah insure they would love to move Wiggins, but I don't see it happening unless an isiot franchise (Knicks,Suns) thinks they can get his potential out
