The difference is posters here have control over one of those circles and have no control over the other. Posters are being such blatant idiots that make this message board outside the music board, near intolerable. And it actually makes the cause they hate so much, more sympathetic because there’s such a lack of common sense when you can’t even see your (Plural you, not you in particular) own actions are hurting your cause.

More karma. More laughing. Because if you can’t laugh at the stupidity right now, there isn’t much to laugh about.

I get your point. Your frustration is having to watch sports and be annoyed like I’m frustrated I can’t participate talking about Pels hoops without being annoyed. And a lot of those posters probably just want people to be frustrated too. But it doesn’t work. That’s the problem. Cause it just annoys people.

These sports leagues. It’s all fricking money with them and this crap. Except the NBA. And you know what. I at least respect the hell out of those guys for not making it about money and trying to accomplish something. And you know how it wasn’t about money with them? Cause Lebron had no slogan on the back of their jerseys. And that’s not a shot at Lebron. It’s just what it is. The other leagues, are just trying to tow the line of “just enough to keep as most people as possible happy”. But you know what I’m not doing? Running around Pelicans Talk trying to convince people every day that no matter what you think of their cause, at least they did it the right way.

And I know this post will be interpreted as a liberal and Biden supporter etc. but that’s just the problem. I hate both of the parties. Because we are only going backwards fast. And neither one wants to look inward and ask why. And that’s what they’re supposed to be doing as the people that represent is. And people say, “what can you do? It’s all we got.” Even if true, I’m just over it. Not me. I’ll vote. And I’ll waste every breath I have on the subject not supporting either. Nothing else I can do.

What I will do, is try to embarrass the screaming idiots enough that maybe others will do the same thing, the logical thing. Fix the problem. Get the loud angry negativity off the board. And just talk some fricking basketball cause this shite sucks for everybody right now. And it’s only the people who aren’t blindingly angry from both sides who can even see that it just sucks that much. And we kinda gotta start giving a shite more about the things that are important to us like friends and community in whatever form, cause this shite sucks. A lot of people are drowning in it. Maybe the majority.

I’ll duck back off into my non TD.com bubble now and shut up. But the posters running into every board to lecture people daily, are having the exact opposite effect. Because no one wins when either person is screaming.
