Floor spacing isn't as big of a problem imo. Adams is no different than Favors, probably better. Shooting was not the Pels problem last year. Defense was and he sures that up. Meli is still on the bench. That's your spacing.

i think the idea is that bledsoe/hill? were signed longer than a year whereas adams is expiring opening up max potential for the pels next offseason

other than that, i dont see the upside of the adams aspect of the trade minus adams and zion literally will grab every offensive rebound, adams is a great locker room guy, and we should improve on defense and screen setting

How do we know Adams isn't yet on the move still? We've taken in way more salary than given up

We are in the honeymoon period. Our GM is god-emperor and anyone not worshipping should be stoned.

it’s apt people bringing up Reke because I remember getting piled on to hell at the other forum for not liking the trade. For pushing back against giving Rolo up for peanuts. For signing Asik for a mid/late first.

And I’m not gonna lie, giving up a first for a defensive center that is a poor fit offensively with our best player, that is increasingly not an ideal fit in this era, is giving me a lot of deja vu.

Like I said, I hope there is more I haven’t seen, and thankfully that unlike the Demps era Griffin has amassed enough resources he can miss a few times and not really suffer, but I still don’t like what I see so far.

woj was on tv saying pels not only want to keep adams this season but potentially beyond which i hope is griff's new "jrue could win mvp" rather than him actually planning that

Bronc, you are mistaken. This is a 4D chess move where Griff hypes Steven Adams all year and then trades him for 3 FRPs. Adams is only 27 and a contender might be looking to add him at some point. Do the Clippers have any centers?

Bro offense is not Zion's problem. He is gonna get his bro. What we needed is a damn interior defender because people were doing layup lines against the Pels. Favors didn't stop Zion from scoring bro why would Adams. Now if the Pels defense was middle of the pack last year, they win many more games. And my lord why are yall so in love with this first round pick THATS NOT EVEN OURS. Bro we have all our picks, all the lakers picks, and all the bucks picks. Why are yall so in loved with a pick that's lottery protected and probably late in the first round??Yall remember how Pelicans were HORRIBLE at the end of games cause we couldn't finish games? Let's get mfs who have been on WINNING TEAMS (Bleadsoe, Hill, JJ, Adams), and let them teach our youngins how to win.

It’s probably from common sense. Why would we give up a pick for Adams instead of signing Baynes if it was just for this season. I’m ok giving up a late first for Adams. I’m not ok just dumping Bledsoe and Hill for nothing.

Maybe we’ll do both. Baynes is injury prone after all.

There will only be so many shots to go around. We do not need a center that needs the ball if you want to continue to develop the young guns offensively

Only knock on Adams is his FT shooting. But he will be a great leader for this team

Just looking salary wise it's likely:
Milwaukee: Jrue

OKC: Bledsoe, Miller

Pels: Adams, Hill

That would work salary wise

Woj seemed to indicate that Bledsoe is still with the Pelicans.

He made his first three pointer ever on our court. Might as well bring him back to make some more.

Hopefully a Baynes deal is only 2 years. Pels could make a lot of moves the next 2 offseasons with their projected Cap.

Hmmm, that would be 41 million coming in with 34 going out (assuming Hill to OKC), which means we would have to send more salary
