People need to realize Adams is a expiring contract. That 27 million literally means nothing unless we re sign him at that much.

and the fact that it’ll free up a shite ton of cap space for a better FA class next season. Even if we re-sign Adams. His salary would be cut in half at most

Those stats are in favor of Favors if you're looking at the per 36 numb

Adams carries a 6.5 WS vs Favors’ 2.7 in that time period

Overall, Favors has a 53 WS for his career vs 45 for Adams, and Favors has played 3 more seasons

You lack of reading comprehension regarding that subject is pretty poor

Still waiting for you to link the Oubre nugget that I said too

Giving up hard assets for a 31 yr Old Jrue and putting him next to a small guard works for a 45win Portland team & Damian lillard.

Not a 25 win team trying to build something

Bledsoe and Adams will show this team how to win basketball games.
these two are a clear upgrade from holiday and favors and griff got paid to do it.

Again, I would love someone to prove this.

Jrue is a better player than Bledsoe(last two season):
Jrue: 20, 7, 5
Eric: 15.5, 5.5, 5

Relatively same percentages, usage, and turnovers.

and Favors has been almost statistically the same player as Adams, but actually a better defensive rim protector and slightly better rebounder.

Jrue >> Bledsoe
Adams > Favors.

Now, what I said last year and this goes for this year as well, our team is going to live and die by Zion/Ingram/Lonzo’s progression. And maybe Kira’s now(maybe not this season but going forward for sure)

If those three improve defensively, the team will take a leap, if they play as bad as they did last year, Adams ain’t gonna save you.

Basically, all we can do is add one more high quality guy and the rest minimums. So it concerning if you expect to find 2 or 3 super cheap dudes that no one else wants who can also shoot. Odds aren't good.

Crowder probably the best guy left

To add to the 27 million contract of Adams. It’s also a good trade piece this year if some team want to offload their unhappy superstar.

Plus I rather have Pelican give up that to test out Adams on this squad and see how they gel than giving him a contract next year. If he is a perfect fit, great he’s worth the new contract. If he isnt, we can just let him go. We already got a bunch of draft capital. Draft capital that isn’t even ours but from other trades we made.

Favors got a 3 year contract. Will y’all be happy if we gave him that contract? I’m pretty sure no. We needed a center.

Chris Paul had worse numbers than Jrue, you think he can't teach a team how to win better than Jrue?

Just that extra vocalness and fight Bledsoe and Adams brings over Jrue and Favors will do wonders for this team. Jrue is way to quiet to be a leader, even though he is a good player.

The best teams have alpha players, Jrue and Favors are not that, Adams and Bledsoe are

Nah I got it, you went on for pages incapable of wrapping your brain around how Jrue would be a better fit than Kelly fricking Oubre. Struggling to grasp that Jrue is an ideally off ball secondary creator that is best served focusing on defense and being your third option. Somehow you couldnt wrap your mind around how that would be a good fit in Atlanta if they were in a win now, playoffs this season mindset vs a guy that is at a major position overlap in Oubre.

Your a loud mouth that thinks snark and shite takes somehow adds yourself some credibility. It doesn’t. If you want to talk basketball talk, if you want to go the playground shite talking, try not to be a pathetic loser that has somehow amassed 40 posts a day over 17 years and still doesn’t grasp positional fit in basketball.

Bro anyone can blow up and become something. But there’s a reason Hampton fell to 24 in a bad draft. You can’t just sit on your hands now that you’ve found your potential stars. You don’t want to be put in the position where Zion feels like we not giving him a chance to succeed. Trae young came out and told the Hawks they need to get players around him. He’s going into his third year. You think the Hawks are ready to contend for a title with? Or the Suns with D Book and CP3? Hell no. But they’re moving in the right direction to get talent around their young players in attempt to make the playoffs. We have picks in that draft already. A mid 20s first round pick means nothing to David Griffin if the team sucks for 3 years and he’s fired. What are we waiting for??? Zion and BI don’t care about an extra first round pick, they wanna win games. Show them you can win games.

The Pelicans have been interested in Adams for a while. After OKC traded George and Westbrook last summer, the Pelicans tried to get Adams, but the deal didn’t come together.

Adams checks a lot of boxes for us.

Hello Mr. Pot.

I don’t agree with him all the time, but Earl is head and shoulders above you intellectually and as a poster.

You have a seriously overinflated opinion of yourself.

Bledsoe is a notoriously quiet personality much like Jrue, so I’m not getting that take.

Adams certainly has potential in that respect, and I think in a vacuum he is an upgrade. I just don’t like the deal or the long term fit, and I don’t think whatever that leadership is is some unobtainable skill that can’t be found without on the FA market.

He’ll bring an attitude, and I do love that Adams is one of those few players refs somehow let get away with shite other big men can’t, but I’d rather save an asset like a 2023 to 2025 first rounder for a package or prospect that is a more ideal fit on our time schedule.

I like Adams. He’s gone balls deep in us many a time and it will be nice to see him do the same to other teams. My point is simple. We gave up a piece that OKC will flip for a late first and we gave up a late first. In a vacuum that doesn’t sit well.

Does OKC balk if we don’t include the nuggets 1st? Probably not.

I honestly don't know why so many people are shitting on a deal where we lost a meaningless Denver 2023 first round pick. It's a nice Saturday morning mid 60's sunny breezy, go enjoy it.

No one shitting on this deal has explained the problem with the value we’ve given up in a meaningful way.

Strangely, the supporters of this trade have actually done a better job steel manning.

You talk about dick too much, old man.

Think we get a suite game this year? I rolled over my STs but my rep would set it up if it’s possible.

Position overlap, right.

Is that why their biggest offseason acquisition has been a 6’10” small forward & not another shrimp guard to play next to Young?

Care to explain that one to me?
