A bad look yes . He did strike goal with the Boogie trade. If Boogie had not gotten injured, how far does that team go?

Oh for sure. I think in hindsight his hate was more than what he deserved.

I think the team should take their time to get the hire right, there really isn't a rush.

But if the guys that are rumored to be in line for the job are true...there really is no reason for a holdup here.

However he did give Asik that extension. That was horrible

Because AD refused to play center..

Then he goes to L.A. and immediately changes his mind

This is the Pelicans' dilemma. You can build a perfect roster on paper but what do you do when those guys come here and give 75% effort, refuse to play thru minor injuries, etc

Seems to be the narrative that players (Except Zion) Want out of NOLA. If it is not the city or the people then it has to be the owners.

Yeah I don’t think players love being here. I think most are content. I don’t think any would be upset if they get moved to a big market or a winning franchise. Anyone who thinks otherwise is lying to themselves

These guys 99% of the time will never say they hate the city or team they play for while still on the team.

Again it’s not the city or people. It’s how ownership runs the team.

Some people can’t comprehend that.

Let’s hire our friend president and name a racehorse after him.

And his son

quote:

According to team sources, Jordan Dumars is a recent but constant presence, accompanying the team on its plane, attending practices, and being in meetings. Officials from rival teams have also noted his conspicuous presence within the Pelicans’ traveling party on the road. Sources describe Joe Dumars, Troy Weaver, and Jordan Dumars as being “attached at the hip,” forming an insular leadership circle that operates separately from the rest of the basketball operations staff. This isolation, they say, has fostered a culture with no clear, established lines of communication from management downward, leaving many employees in the dark about the team’s direction and decision-making processes.

27 years and counting.

You said players don’t want to be in NOLA. When most of these guys talk to Dumars on a daily basis. I’m not a fan of Dumars hire but he’s been better than Griffin imo. He drafted Fears and Queen. Found hidden gems in Peavy, Mcgowena and Bey. Fired Willie Green (even if it was late.) Replaced positions in the organization for a new culture change.

I reserve my judgement on his HC choice though.
