I thought this was a mandatory thing for this season. Am I wrong?

no body wants to pay to be on our jerseys....given our previous relationship, I would reach out to RC Cola and see if we can get those mad sponsorship dollars.

Yes you are wrong. It isn't mandatory to get advertised. It's smart, but don't mandatory.

The team got Ochsner to double down on advertising and buy naming rights to the practice facility. I bet we see more leveraging your best customers and it's a Smoothie King patch.

I feel like Chevron, Shell or another major Oil and Gas company would be the sponsor if there wasn't such a downturn in that market. Actually, with those companies, I could still see it as I'm sure it's cheaper to get a logo on a pels uniform than on the Rockets or something like that.

Is Chevron even a team sponsor anymore? I feel like they disappeared with Brad Garrett 7up commercials.

I am pretty sure that Chevron is the sponsor of the Pels Mathletes program.

He said his sources told him that they are definitely getting a jersey sponsor and we should hear about who it is within a week or so.

Seems odd that they're doing it this late. Like, they already are putting the new nike jerseys out for sale. So now they'll have to scramble to put out new jerseys with the sponsor on it. I'm sure it doesn't take that much to do, but still seems odd that they're finalizing it after putting everything out there.

I don't believe the jerseys sold in team stores have the patches on them.

Ohh gotcha, I assumed they would. I suppose I assumed that because soccer jerseys do that. But soccer jersey sponsors are a much larger part of the uniform than the NBA sponsors.
