All this and not only will he not play this year but won't be ready for start of regular season next year. Unless he's traded.

Do we need to be loyal to Gary Clark? He is the best player on the team.

I like Clark and all but not sure I’d go that far. Maybe third best behind temple and graham

Humans can’t help themselves from taking a couple simple observations and weaving a dramatic conspiracy narrative. The simplest explanation is 99% accurate. Looks to me like a dude who for the last 10 years has been center of highlight attention is finally getting his legs back under him and wanted to post a dunk video. He’s a 21 yo with a smartphone. That’s what they do. That there’s some sort of team drama or message that he’s sending or whatever is just you middle aged message board dudes adding some intrigue to your lives.

Why the frick did Jordy know this

I vaguely remember Jordy getting Zion’s dad on OTB a day or two after the draft. I remember it bc he (dad) said Z was in the car w/ him but couldn’t talk bc he just had some dental work done

If his bone scans look clean I don’t see how you don’t play him. Restrict his minutes and no back to backs like they did Jrue, but if he’s healthy and you don’t play him you’re just making the wedge between Zion and the team bigger.

This. Play him with the 2nd unit for 20min and let him go nuts against backups. He could score a point a min.

That’s my suspicion as well.

Everyone is looking for “secret knowledge” and wants to see conspiracies everywhere.

Just like with the Portland stuff, when, as I mentioned and was piled on for, turns out Kira rehabbed away from the team for months as well, just recently got back to the team and made his first game when the team traveled to Atlanta. Not everything is a grand conspiracy.

You don’t play him now you lose him forever. Hurt or not.

This is a kid speaking through social media.

And if you play him now and he’s not ready and he goes out and re-injures the foot and needs surgery and misses the start of next year, you’ve if nothing else completely fricked his trade value along with already screwing up the start to next season. And that’s honestly worst case scenario.

Yeeaa most likely that won't happen.

And whatever Zion wanted to accomplish, he did it. Fox sports and ESPN are all in on the ‘Zion wants to play’

Zion, on the other hand, thinks he's further along and just put out a video that clears himself to do between the legs - full bearing - dunks..
Zion thought that earlier in the season and was wrong and had a setback.

You do what you can to keep the talent you have.

Sometimes you have to roll the fricking dice and give the kid what he wants.

Clearly, the culture around the team has improved so much that he wants to be part of it ON THE COURT.

Do the pelicans have a non weight bearing court in their practice facility? I mean that'd be incredible but I've never seen or heard of anything like that where it resembles real wood but bends like that (in the context of a basketball teams facility).

If you drop down a few replies In that twitter link the reported confirms it is a padded floor. Corey Rholdon “They padded the floor …. Teams typically do that to their practice floors to prevent injuries”

Case closed

Zion was under complete team control. People can't have it both ways. It can't be Zion thought he was further along and he had a setback and now the medical team is saving him from himself by being cautious. That same medical team was in charge of his rehab in December when the setback occurred. He also was never to the point where he was performing trick dunks in December. Why can't we all just agree that the team has been dishonest during this whole process and we have no idea what is going on other than what we have seen in this video?

How do you know that? If he was cleared to practice, that would mean he was further along in his rehab than he is now, so why would he not have been able to perform that dunk in December?

Pretty sure we all agree that they have. But we also know pretty confidently that this is also at the behest of Zion's camp.
