Like I said, I’ve been in the facility and played on the court in the Arena. Those floors have a very odd bounce in them, enough that it takes a while to get used to. I don’t think that’s some special court.

It's not a special court.

I think it’s just too late. If there were 20 games left, ok. There are 10.

Tell him to keep up that work, take the fire into the off-season and use it next year.

If his bone scans look clean I don’t see how you don’t play him. Restrict his minutes and no back to backs like they did Jrue, but if he’s healthy and you don’t play him you’re just making the wedge between Zion and the team bigger.

Agreed. We could win a couple playoff series with Zion, BI and CJ.

Personally, I think that, in saying that "we don't expect him to play this season," Griff is just intentionally setting expectations low, so that we don't end up feeling like Charlie Brown after Lucy yanks the football away yet again.

In other words, I believe that the team does plan for him to play if he's ready, and that saying otherwise is an an intentional leak of disinformation.

espn blaming Pels management

Hard to read this and come away with any other impression than the team is a bunch of meanie heads who won't let him play

You can't be serious. It's nice seeing a video of Zion but we need to chill a little bit. There 10 games left and it's hard for him to get in basketball shape in the most intense games of the season. I mean fat as frick summer league Zion was doing 360 windmills in warmups before the game but was in horrible condition.

I thought it was very easy to read that and come away with a different impression.

Because he hasn’t played basketball in a year and there’s 10 games left. He’s almost certainly not up to conditioning and playoff basketball is entirely different than regular season basketball

And the Pels are about to play 11 playoff games essentially. I get it.

Let him play and if he can't get up and down the court without fatigue due to time off, then that will be the excuse

That's better than "we lost play in but who knows we maybe could have done better with Zion"

I get fans are impatient and after seeing that video, that was the point of Zion posting it.

But can you get the team’s position?

He injured his foot in June and still hasn’t played. He’s missed 72 games including all of the off-season basically. All off-season workouts. All of training camp. Every practice with the team. Every preseason game. Every regular season game.

And he still hasn’t even practiced.

How many actual practices are left this year? 2? MAYBE 3?

Time has slipped away.

I’m confused. You’re suggesting that is wood that’s concaving in 360 degrees with every step? That’s not even possible

Then play him 20min a night as he gets up to speed.

No reason to not play him if he's healed.
