Zion is the same force he was in college. No human sans Giannis or AD can contain him. The Bucks threw multiple looks at Zion and it messed with him visibly and obviously it was his worst game even though he had 20. Zion will be a superstar.

Thing is he’s only gonna get better.

He’ll be converting and ones with such consistency people around the league will call for rule changes.

Yes.

quote:

Jim Eichenhofer @Jim_Eichenhofer 45m

Lonzo Ball on Zion Williamson: "He can score in a variety of ways. He's amazing to watch. His size, his skill, his athleticism. I don't know what (defenses can) do with him."

Jrue Holiday on not being fazed much by watching what Zion Williamson (31 pts) can do on the court as a 19-year-old rookie: "It's expected, honestly. I don't see anyone who can guard him."

Josh Hart joking about Zion Williamson's first 30-point game of career: "I'm kind of disappointed. He should've had a couple (already). He's a walking 24 and 8 guy. He's only played (nine) games. It's kind of scary how good he is this early."

I hope he will have a less physical playstyle quickly anyway.

Here's Andrew Lopez commenting on the play where Zion faked left and ended up blowing right by Ariza.

This is a complete counter move for Zion.

His problem against the Bucks was Milwaukee knew he wanted to spin left, and they took that away.

Ariza takes away the left - so Zion does that.

This is what makes Zion really scary. When you expose a weakness of his and think you figured him out, he’s shows the capacity to adjust and make a weakness a strength.

The kid has such high IQ to go with his tools, it’s going to be insane when we see his final form. No one know what he will truly look like in 5-7 years.

In nine games this season, Zion Williamson has a 115.7 offRtg and a 100.6 defRtg.

The net rating of 15.2 is No. 1 in the league of players averaging at least 25 mins a game.

The four players behind him are all Milwaukee Bucks.

Imagine when Zion actually develops his game and gets a solid 3 pt shot and passes the ball for scores. He’ll be incredible. He’s already at minimum a perennial all star, and this is his floor

I think that’s what’s so exciting. He’s scoring 20 a night with ease. His ball handling will improve, his passing, while already pretty good, will also get better. His rebounding, his defense, all the things he can control, will get better. If he can just make teams come out to guard him at the 3 point line he will win MVP.

And if he ever develops a reliable jumper or even a reliable 3 point shot he will be a transcendent player. I don’t think he will ever have a good jumper because I just don’t think that’s his game and it’s probably going to be an area he just doesn’t focus on and I don’t blame him. But I do think if he works his arse off he can turn into a respectable 3 point shooter and if he has that in his game....dear god

I think that as Zion gets into better shape, his handle is going to tighten up as well, and that's something that I'm looking forward to, as he's had more turnover than I'd like (though only two last night).

It is going to be really fun when he gets more conditioned and better at ball handling and he starts leading fast breaks. He is doing all of this with a very limited offensive game right now. Scary. Just developing a set mid range shot would open things up way more for him. Very exciting times.

Zion compares favorably to Lebron in that aspect of his game. Lebron had no jumper to speak of when he was younger, yet was still able to score at will due to his athleticism. The Spurs forced him to be a shooter in the finals and he was unable to, but came back with a much better jump shot. I think Zion in year 3 will have more than a respectable jump shot once he gets a few off seasons to work on his shot.

So essentially we have 2 Allstars locked up for another 4 years together with Jrue Redick Hart Lonzo etc helping them. Lonzo will be an all star at least once in his career. It’s just a matter of time and time he can make it.
