I hope it isn’t him. Might be a couple picks and a player not named Ingram.

That means playing Beal at the three. It's not the worst outcome but I rather trade Ball. Ingram got superstar potential

A base trade for Beal would be Moore, Solo and #4. You would then have to add in a future first or Ingram.

I do not want to give up any of the future draft capital we just acquired for Beal.

I can get down with that. We have a lot to work with so hopefully we don’t overextend. And a guaranteed signing to another contract.

I mean it's either trading ball or we are gonna go small with the 3 guard line up with Ingram at the 4 ( if ingram isnt in the deal) and zion at the 5

I would rather give up a future pick than Ingram. Ingram could be a superstar, particularly if he is paired up with guys like Jrue, Zion, and Beal.

Do we want to pay Ingram his new big contract or do we rather take on Beal and his current contract?

Not sure I agree depending on which pick and protections.

Ingram has 1 year left on his deal.

A draft pick is a potential asset for future moves or cap controlled talent.

If this was the case, Ingram would come off the bench as the primary scorer to lead that 2nd unit offense.

Would look like Zo, Jrue, Beal, Zion and a big to rebound and rim protect.

And I mean we have been saying we have to build through the draft and with trades. So Beal fits the criteria.

I just don’t wanna give up too much

He only has 2 years left on his deal right? Not like he's locked in for 4 years.

Beal is a stud, but his contract is fair. Not really a positive or a negative

I can agree, biggest difference is Langford is just a little bit longer and taller and langford has developed quicker than Oladipo which could be a good or bad thing. But ultimately Both lacked a consistent outside shot and were known for tough defense and the ability to drive to the basket and looked at as a 2 or combo guard.

I’d say the 2021 but I like the possibility of the “double draft” in 2022 too much. I’d like to keep Moore’s shooting on board but if it means getting Beal while dumping Solo and say the 2025 and some of those Bucks 2nd rounders let’s do it. Run Ball, Jrue, and Beal as a 3 guard and bring Ingram off the bench. Zion obviously starts at the four. I guess Oak starts at the 5? Who else could be targets in FA?

Valid point, but it’s still his second contract so it would be fairly affordable, considering his talent, if he reaches his ceiling.

I love having the flexibility and cheap talent, but it’s such a hit or miss proposition. If we can get Beal for the 4 and a pick next year, and our roster is

BALL
JRUE
BEAL/INGRAM
ZION
YOU/ME/SOMEONE WITH A PULSE

I can’t imagine that we would be a lottery team.

I want a big that can rebound and rim protect. Someone we should be able to get on a decent contract is Willie Cauley Stein. Kings didn’t seem too high on bringing him back.
