Ingram is eligible for 30% max on his next deal as he’s been in the league 8 years.
Right. And Ingram is overrated. Nobody wants to hear that, because everyone likes him. I like him.
But he's not dominant offensively, because he lives on midrange shots. The best shot attempts are at the rim and the 3-pt line, and he doesn't take many of those.
And he's still a negative defender. Did he step it up in the playoffs a year ago? Yes, but we still need to win regular-season games.
BI is a great guy, a really good player, and a solid guy in the locker room. But he can't lead a team to a title.
If Charlotte wants him and he wants to go home to North Carolina, then that's a trade I want to make.

Thats a great take. Couldnt have said it better.

I don’t understand the point in arguing about any of this speculative bs.
Here’s some Scoot Henderson highlights
LINK
Let’s just assume we don’t lose any players until we know which players those are/could be. How would you guys use him in your theoretical rotations?

You asked how his immaturity level is keeping him from being the player we need him to be lol
If you can’t answer that for yourself, then there is no helping you lol

He has to be your lead starting point guard. If pels don’t think he deserves to be that, then trading for him is worthless.

Right, and the rest? We’re going to have some limitations with a point guard who can’t shoot threes depending on the makeup of whatever trade we’re talking about.
For instance, Zion, Scoot and Herb sharing the court is going to cause a massive pileup in the lane

Hes not ben simmons. I can see his 3pt shooting improve but thats just an assumption. You have to play him with Trey and CJ. Bring Herb off the bench.

I’m just going off the limited sample size we have, plus it’s not the first time I’ve heard of a freak athlete who can’t shoot, most take a while to learn.
We’d really need Jose to stay healthy in that scenario. Ball handling with the second unit wouldn’t be ideal

I guess I’ll ask you this. Do you think Grizz are limited with Ja? Or do you think Ja is so elite that he makes others better and finds a way to score even if he cant shoot the 3 as well.
Posted on 6/13/23 at 9:33 pm to SCLSUMuddogs
I know people talk about him only being a freak athlete. But hes a great playmaker, very high IQ, tough defender even at his size and is a leader competitor on and off the court. We have to consider all those things as well.

All this all being said. I would rather just see
CJ
BI
Zion
Trey
Jonas
With Jose, Herb, Nance and Daniels off the bench play one full, healthy season. It’s an incredible amount of firepower

I think certain rotations aren’t available due to Ja’s lack of a three. I’m not saying being limited in one area means you can’t win. Aside from maybe 5 dudes in the history of the game, every player has their limitations

I don’t like zion
ain’t gonna change the way things are going or the way things will go

Right, but freak athletes don’t need threes because they can dominate in the lane against smaller opponents. It wasn’t a comment related to his defense or iq, just that 3’s have never been necessary for guys like him against their high school and college counterparts

quote:Yea. He may be better than BI but I have him in the same tier, I don't see him winning a title as a #1. He's an inefficient scorer, much more inefficient than BI. Plus he's one of the worst perimeter defenders in the game.
Do you think Grizz are limited with Ja
Put those 2 together, it's really not a coincidence that the Grizzlies are still really good when Ja doesn't play.

Also true, they’re 33-17 without him
