I’m guessing there will be more moves and probably some less than popular among the fans.

Draft night may be buck wild.

Or Buck wild if Giannis gets moved.

Really bothers me that we wouldn’t give BI $40 million a year. I realize there are a lot of other circumstances, but we truly have been bleeding assets the past few years.

Blame Griff.

He held onto BI too long amongst other frickups. Not trading Lonzo at the deadline before he became a FA is up there too.

Eh. Combing through the details this deal makes a decent level of sense.

They got first overall in 2024.

That’s better than we did this season. We fricked around and still only got 7th.

As long as he's not giving up future assets or core players, I'm open to anything. Everything we've done in the last 6 years was a mirage. Griffin did a whole lot of nothing and wasted resources after resource.

I rather them go all in now while trying to keep the books as clean as possible and blow it up if it doesn't work out.

Wizards picked 2nd in 2024 and the team I'm referring to as 2024 Wizards is picking 6 this year. Honestly, they have a much, much brighter future than us

Nah. Listening to a few people there was some pretty sneaky smart aspects to this deal that make a modicum of future sense.

Adds some fairly significant flexibility to what we can do now and the future and got a decent pick in the process.

Smarter deal than we are used to without it being anything amazing or jeopardizing anything of note in the future

There should be a lot of good defenders left at 40 or older players.

I agree. I like Poole. He shot 9.1 3s last year and made 38% of them. Thats him being the first option. He either be third option or 6 man if Murray comes back. Hes not on a long term contract, we can easily trade him next year if we want to since he be an expiring. Bey is also on a 2/13 deal which is solid for a backup.

Oh yeah, Dumars is playing chess here.....

There are certainly some cap reasons to do this, but giving retards flexibility just allows them to eat more paint.

Yeah I’d rather go for one of Bailey, Fears, Tre at 7 and then try and move up to get a big. Sorber, Beringer, or maybe they just take a swing on upside and go essengue if he’s available still. Not the biggest Queen fan but he’s another big they may trade up for.

Yup, this is the way. One of those three will be there or Kon. Then try to move up some and get another undervalued big. Missi 2.0

And this deal isn’t bad. I approve of it. I’m not a big CJ guy especially at his age now. And always wanted Bey since he came out of college.

Poole/Bey/40 is probably a wash with CJ/Olynyk. But it just seems like it's really early in the summer for a deal like this when there are several teams likely to dump talent for financial relief. CJ and Olynyk are expirings that could be perfect stop gap role players for teams in that situation.

The concern is if Weaver really does see them as foundation pieces and they receive extensions soon.

CJ was valuable. There were multiple games when he was the only guy hitting shots and keeping us in it…
Plus he is a leader and strong locker room guy.

Here's what people need to understand with Poole. He can dribble the ball at a high level, handle ball pressure, and provide rim pressure which CJ can't provide. Poole is also a good running the P&R which would be necessary for Missi to thrive on offense.

CJ is the better spacer and shooter but we need Poole's lead guard skill set going into the year. CJ starting at the point for this team would have been disastrous.
