Outside of D-Will, I don't think any RFA or UFA is worth a max if you are basing on performance/age/upside.

That said, if someone gives Gordon a max offer sheet, the Hornets have to match it solely because he was the main piece in the CP trade. We should not be trying to steal other RFA's with max offers though, not a savvy business decision at all.

We are still in rebuilding mode and too many people are getting drunk off the Davis/Rivers Kool Aid to where they think we need to make "win now" signings. That is not the case and if we do that, we could easily fall back into the blackhole that was the 2008-2011 Hornets.

That's probably the most sensible post I've seen on this board today

I agree, I'd rather just be patient then give more money to people who dont deserve it.
ETA: I think Hibbert is worth good money tho like in the 6-10 mil range but nothing more.

13 mil is a pretty spot on amount for him actually, considering the market

he's shown he can play offense and defense and he's 7-feet tall. defense-only 5s are in the 8-11M range

I'd love to have Hibbert. But he's going to get overpaid. He's probably a top 5-10 center in the league. Unfortunately, all good players in the NBA are overpaid. That's why there are so many bad contracts out there.

Gonna go out on a limb and guess that you could not have named a player on the Hornets roster (besides Eric Gordon) before the night of the lottery.

People are idiots.

I'm gonna go out on a further limb and say I've been to more games than you'll ever go to in your life, and have forgotten more about this team than you'll ever dream to know...

Grow the f$#k up man.
When you've taken to calling individuals out, instead of posting something useful, you're interest in these forums has become more than a hobby and you need to readdress your priorities in life.

and Roy Hibbert at 25 would not be a win now signing..
even at 14.5mm a year...

it would be a 4 year commitment, to a player that has shown enough to be worth the risk, for a team that needs an upside body at the position...

when those 4 years are up, when our core is then, 23 years old... you can get rid of his arse... or then resign him at 29...

i'm getting slammed for liking Roy Hibbert because he is an RFA, and people screaming for Javale McGee are geniuses.... smh
