Maybe there's something to this.

I would like Rondo, but I would love Hathaway Jr.

Rondo would be a nice addition to this team. Having a pass-first PG will keep Boogie&Brow the focus on offense (as they should be). It would be a huge upgrade to replace Frazier with Rondo.

I've advocated for Rondo on numerous occasions. Would be an upgrade from Jrue and cheaper..

quote:

“I mean it sucks,” Cousins said. “Me and Rondo really grew a great bond. He became a big brother to me. I learned a lot from him.”

“One thing I can say is Chicago’s getting a great person and a great player. Promise me y’all are going to take care of him.”

Earlier in the season, DeMarcus said that he “will kidnap him myself” to keep Rondo in Sacramento. From that quote, it seems like that DeMarcus had found a teammate that he had a great bond with, and that should have been a priority to keep him in a Kings uniform.

member Cousins was pissed when Rondo left SAC. Rondo had one of his better seasons in recent memory w/ Cousins in 2015.

I would like Rondo for the right price.

I really think a guy like Rondo is exactly what this offense needs. I'd want to keep Jrue as well as the SG. Jrue is still capable of taking over a game every now and then, and when he does, it's very hard to beat us.

What if they get Rondo, keep Jrue.

Rondo
Holiday
Hill
Davis
Cousins

You still lack outside shooting, but a pass first point guard would really help AD/DC

I think ultimately you want at least 1 knockdown shooter on the floor w davis and cousins, 2 would be ideal. Easier said then done, of course. Holiday/Hill don't really scare anyone on the perimeter. I could live w Holiday at the 2 if we had a 3 who could shoot it

Package a first and someone to upgrade the SF. They will do what they can to get shooters

If Crawford is close to like he was last season that would be huge. Small sample size but he was fantastic for us last year

I just puked in my mouth looking at that lineup. That would be a spacing nightmare. One of AD/DC would get doubled on first touch every single time down.

I don't think that line up is that bad... people seem to forget AD/DC aren't traditional bigs, they can stretch the floor for each other. They just need a capable point guard to find them when they are open. Jrue couldn't always do that... Rondo can.

You're not understanding this. We had spacing issues last year at times with just Solo on the court. Now you add another guy who can't shoot to the mix. AD/DC will literally have to be your floor spacers. The defense can sag off and double anyone who tries to drive or anyone who gets an ISO look. That would just be horrendous.

You can't compare Solo's game to Rondo, Solo was supposed to just make open shots, and he couldn't do it consistently. Rondo on the other hand is a playmaker, his only role really would be to set other guys up and get the ball to open guys... like I said AD/DC can help with spacing, they both can shoot, and they both don't have to be camped out in the paint. Anyway besides Ray Allen I don't remember Rondo playing with any elite shooters anyway, at least nothing better than Moore or Holiday.
