You like to cherry pick statements when I already made my point clear on why it works with Davis and Cousins.

This team has been trying to run an offense where the players move a lot since Monty was here, but it seems to be pretty hard to get players to be active on offense.

I think one of the biggest differences is that we "gain" Jrue Holiday this season. He's the best off ball guard we have not to mention the best primary ball handler we had before Rondo. Now that Rondo is in I think it frees Jrue if we decide to play the Gentry offense for a quarter.

As for the Finch offense, I think both Rondo and Jrue can be very active off the ball. Both are quick and intelligent and hustle (well when Rondo wants to). More active & effective than Tyreke, EG, or Tim Frazier would have been imo.

I agree. If anything, the Rondo signing helps Jrue. It moves him to the 2, and we got a still solid ball handler.

Some team will suffer injuries to bigs.
Voila! Pels trade alexis and omer for a 40% 3 and solid D. Errybody happy.

I'm not cherry picking statements, you said Rondo has been bad because the spacing has been bad and then you said it will be different because AD/DC are tall/jump high. That might actually be true because Rondo is a good passer and AD/DC had several plays with each other where 7 footer passing high to 7 footer lead to an easy score despite being triple or quadruple teamed. But don't you see how "it will work because AD/DC are tall/jump high" seems like a less likely outcome than "it won't work because there is no spacing with Hill and Rondo on the floor at the same time."

I hope best case scenario Rondo happens. I just don't see any reason to expect much more than we got out of Frazier.

Pollyanna speaks.

We envision really good rondo. Brilliant passer, and his broken thumb is healed.
Pels deal asik and anjica for a gunner.
Pels 6th seed, avoiding warriors until wcf.
Davis and cousins overwhelm green and the pels meet the Celtics in the finals.

Imagine the best outcome. Feel it.

Honestly the best thing about the signing is... Demarcus Cousins is happy that the front office was willing to listen to him. If Demarcus is happy, he's going to re-sign with us, which in turn makes AD happy.

Sounds good to me.

What's interesting is we are finally seeing guys come here due to AD and Boogie. A successful year could really make a huge difference.

Pels fans overreacting the same way they did when they got Cousins. Pelicans aint going anywhere next year, especially with Gentry.

None of us thinking championship, but if we are a top 6 seed in the west that will be huge for this team.

I'm glad that we added a player that possesses talent. A guy like Rondo buying in can pay off big time for us, especially since we now have two legitimate backcourt defenders who can handle the ball. When have we ever had that?

Most of us if not all of us know what we are getting in Rondo and most of us will chalk this up to a successful season if we win a few playoffs games. I'm not saying a first round win but I think we are capable of winning a few. Besides we have been projected to be a playoff team in the West before the Rondo signing.

But it fits your narrative better that we are delusional and overreacting.

Rondo makes us playoff team. Thinking 6-7 seed at the moment.

And that's exactly what we need to do to keep Cousins. Seeing that he has never made the playoffs before, if we get there, I don't think he'd want to walk away from that.

Yawn. Stats and Vegas are in our favor. Literally none of our top players have played with a team as talented as this one.

I feel like we'll get the five seed but end up facing the Spurs and lose in seven.

I would break so much shite if that happened.

Rondo scares me. I've never been a huge fan of his game but if he can facilitate like his prime, boogie and ad could go ham... one year prove it deal seems fine with me.
