Rajon Rondo
Would be the perfect vet for this team. Whether we move on from lonzo and let him groom NAW or have lonzo come off the bench. His stint in our best playoff run ever is evident that his leadership is top notch.
Also should be noted that josh hart is apparently recruiting him

At this point, I would say go for Mike D'Antoni for HC, and bring in Rondo on a 3 year deal for the MLE to start grooming him to take over for Mike when he retires.

re: Rajon Rondo
So much depends on Ball and how he fits with the new coach. He has a funky game, but he has talent and can be a solid starter in the league. I really believe that he can be a top 10ish PG and a demon defender. But he needs to be trusted, trained and extended. They need to poop or get off the pot with him.

If they move on, Rondo could be a stop gap. But I wouldn't be too excited about him. He would be tough for a new coach to handle and we don't have an established Superstar to keep him in line. I don't know if it's worth the risk, especially for a multi year deal..

On the podcast with Zach Lowe, Stan had an interesting take on Lonzo. I forget the exact term he used, hybrid something or other, but basically saying a player with a different role in transistion vs. the half court. It kind of sounded like the new "positionless". But If understands him, hopefully that means he will be able to get the most out of him.

Regarding Rondo, I think I want him clogging up cap space with the Lakers. Our best bet for those firsts to turn into something is for the Lakers to remain a top heavy roster tied to LeBron and ADs health.

That’s the point tho, he would show our superstar how to dominate and play with that chip like he did with AD. In zions ear every practice and game demanding him to dominate whosever in front of him. He would elevates BI game as well

What I found interesting is that Lonzo seems to be working almost exclusively on lane floaters and finishing at the rim this offseason.

I just don’t see the fit, without a superstar running the point he’s done nothing, his system works with a nash or harden, I’d love to see what he could do with kyrie tho

I saw some of those clips too. If he adds a reliable floater and also steps up on defense, he might be worth his next contract.

Rajon Rondo

He made AD and Jrue play with heart. After he left, they hid under the covers again.

Seeing as how he doesn’t flip the switch until the playoffs start, Rondo is most valuable to a team that is definitely going to make the playoffs.

Personally, I hope LA locks him up because I think he's a net negative over the course of that deal.

From a purely comedic standpoint, I want to see him sign a big deal with the Knicks and just flat out quit on them like he has nearly every bad team he's ever been on.

From all accounts, Zo loved it here and works is tail off...so he seems like a good guy you want to root for...just from a pure basketball perspective not sure if he's the right fit long term.

I say same. If we can’t afford or find way get Chris Paul back next best is Rajon. A cheaper version of that. It’s only 4-5 people w mind like CP3 n Bron n Rondo 1 of em. I’d take 9 back. Also look what he did for Jrues game I. That year. Jrue just didn’t take his leadership skills Rondo taught him n passed it down after he left
