I'd go so far as to say, if Griff could trade Zion for Scoot straight up, he'd do it without hesitation. Think Scoot is everything he loves in a player and Zion is the opposite of that. But reality hits when you figure we would have to sweeten the pot and that's what's probably making Griff hesitant to do a deal. I doubt anything gets done in the end, because Zion's value is too low and Griff doesn't wanna include the other guys he actually loves like Trey, Herb, Dyson, etc..

Can’t believe we got pels fans that believe griff is so willing to trade Zion for some gum and a shiny new spoon…I just so obvious.
IMO This team has all the tools it needs now to compete…just need to get Zion head right,which has become a tall task yes
Don forget pels are making many changes in coaching staff and training staff to get it right

Im not going to start arguing here. All im going to say is if you think thats what Scoot is according to your analogy, your highly wrong. I think part of the issue is people really have no idea how good Scoot is as a prospect.

Again we’ve already seen what Zion does on court. I m not even a huge Zion supporter. But

Its a very bland way of looking at a prospect.
He cant shoot- incorrect- hes really good at midrange but needs to be better at 3.
He was one of the most athletic playmakers in this draft- not just he can pass.
He can drive- he doesn’t just drive to the rim- he absolutely elite at it.
Its like saying yeah jokic can pass and shoot but he cant dunk or play defense. Yeah thats right but also ridiculous underplaying how good of a player he is.

I’m fine with that. This team can win as constructed. Take the best shooter at 14 unless there is a solid big man available but I don’t keep up with the draft.

The scoot discussion is needless really…we know griff like him…but y’all fail to see he’s wanting to add scoot to the core and it will take a piece of core to get him…ending the trade talks while media and panther Girls look for views. Simple and obvious as that

Again because you want us to take your word that you know how Griffin thinks and thats what was said to other teams. This is exactly my point. Nobody knows. Either of us could be right. We have no idea how far these talks went. Even if there was an offer- it makes all the sense to tell the media he was never on the table because if they didn’t accept you dont want your star to know you’re actually putting him in trades. Regardless, you’ll never believe that Griff ever had serious trade conversations about Zion. So ill leave it at that. Again hope whatever they do tonight makes the team better.

You just can’t tell me Scoot Henderson is better than Zion. He’s just not. You have to take the risk of Zion figuring it out and being on the court playing because he’s a generational talent that is the first unstoppable talent in the post since Shaq. When he plays we were the top team in the west.

Zion was a MVP candidate before he got hurt. I prefer forward over guard any day.
