#10 pick for Darren Collison and #26 pick from Indy. Thoughts.

We already know Collison's ceiling is solid but not all-star level. At #26 guys like Royce White, John Jenkins, Fab Melo, Moe Harkless could potentially be available.

I say no but I don't know enough about the mid 20's projections in this draft.

What do those hit like 20% of the time? I think the 10 pick in this draft would hit like 80% of the time.

Picks in the 20's don't usually hit well(if by hit you mean solid starter) though oddly enough the #26 pick has had some good success: John Salmons, Kevin Martin, Jason Maxiell, Jordan Farmar, Aaron Brooks, George Hill, Taj Gibson in the last decade.

Now no one wants him

I never liked Collison as a starter but he seemed the perfect backup for CP3.

That would be terrible. I don't see Collison being that much better than Vasquez, and to slide down 16 picks for him would be dumb as hell. I've been losing a lot of faith in Chad Ford in the last couple weeks.

Collison was SICK when he started for those 30 games or so

I disagree strongly with that.

To be fair Ford posed this scenario in response to a Pacers' fan question about them moving up so he may not have considered whether we'd take it at all.

Yes I agree. I wasn't overly impressed with him in the Miami series though.

I'm not sure. Collison's points per 48, FG%, and assists have dropped each season (rebounding and TOs have improved). Vasquez was better this season than Collison was (higher PER), and Collison did a really poor job setting up his team in the playoffs.

When I think you can make a legit debate that our backup is better than the guy we're acquiring, then I sure as shite don't want to drop from 10 to 26 to make it happen.
