Yes. And if the Driveman logo is legit, that cements it even further in my mind.

Agreed. I'm thinking the bit of red and the text will send it over the top.

Fwiw I hope that is released as-is on a hat as a secondary logo, I like the simplicity.

Brass would be great, but, alas, looks like its not to be. I can live with Pelicans, and it'll grow on us with team success.

I have to agree. A fresh start can't hurt us-I don't think, at least...

The new logo unveiling is going to convert many non-beleibers.

Yes

But that doesn't mean I will after the logo and color scheme are introduced. As I said way back when the rebrand started, logo and color scheme are more important that the name. It can make a bad name work or make a good name bad

I think it'll work out well though

I tend to agree.

I think the timing of this is kind of strange though. Maybe they're doing it now because they have Superbowl eyes on them, idk. But its strange to trot out the newer, "better," name and logo when you've still got half the season to wear the older obsolete unis

There are quite a few teams with multiple syllables.

None of them roll off the tongue as clumsily as New Orleans Pelicans.

I have to agree. New Orleans is already such a smooth, euphonious phrase. The sharp drop of the jaw for the "P" in pelicans just stops up the flow so bad. And the rest of the word doesn't help at all either. Ugly word, but I don't know how often I thank the stars that 'New Orleans Hornets" rolls off the tongue...
