I never said that. I would prefer Brass. I would prefer Krewe. I would prefer Revelers. None of them are "pretty" or "deadly." In my opinion, and that of all of the people I have spoken to, Pelicans is lame as shite. It has absolutely no "cool" factor.

This is pretty stupid. Do you think there's something magical about the word saints that makes it more appealing to the rest of the Gulf coast? You don't think it might be success or other ways people could identify with the team.

Winning games. Not the team name. It's over. We are the pelicans. A unique name to the city/state and uniquely represents us.

Although it's not official...it's from YAHOO, I'm not as disappointed as I'd be if they announced Bishops, Steamers, Cardinals, etc.
The change is inevitable. Really interested to see how they put the colors together with Pelican logo.

The pelican is on the State seal, LSU's seal, ULL's seal, Tulane's seal, its Tulane's physical mascot, on the state quarter, state nickname, in the state painting, state bird....WTF more do you need?
What other state can say half of that? Thats why its unique and local to Louisiana.

I disagree out of state people will potentially be buying Anthony Davis jersey. That's why its important the jersey look right more so than the name
