We can't keep him here until he's 40 y/o because he's Jose. It does nothing for the Pels as a business or team.
People seem to freak out talking about a Jose exit like he is Jrue or CP3. I love the guy but its weird as a fan who wants to see our team continue to improve.
Jose helps the team win games. In every one of his seasons, he has had a positive +/-. According to Cleaning the Glass, we were 2.6 points per 100 possessions better last season with him on the floor than without him.
There are absolutely not a bunch of 19/20 y/o better than him who are gettable without spending 1st-round picks. The fact that you want to pretend that he isn't any good says a lot more about you than about him, because the numbers have always said that Jose is a valuable player for the team.

I never trashed him or said he isn't any good. We can definitely find someone younger with more potential, I'm sorry if that offends you. And he's small.

We're already developing plenty of potential this upcoming season. Maybe you haven't heard, but we drafted two guys in the top 13 picks who are going to need minutes to develop. We also drafted a guy in the 2nd round and are still trying to get Hawkins to achieve some of his potential, along with Karlo.
The rest of the roster can't just be developing; it has to help us win. Jose does that.

Weaver signing Alexander says to me that they value Reeves as a 2 way type of player but they don't want to use a main roster spot on those types.

The reason why I'm able to scout draft prospects without talking to them is that I have an elite ability to read people's mannerisms through film. Just trust me on this one. Reeves is a 5 day contract casual level player, adds nothing to the locker room from a spirit or intellectual standpoint. This was a great cut. Long overdue.

Reeves was so awesome last season that the rest of the league was fighting to sign him after we waived him, amirite? No, no NBA team has offered him a regular contract, and he's back on our summer league team looking for a deal.
Can some of y'all now look back and reflect that maybe Reeves wasn't as awesome as you thought? That he played like a two-way player? That, whether or not Dumars is an idiot, waiving Reeves wasn't idiotic?
