Jazz played it perfectly. They started their athletes and used their entire rotation to go up and down the floor knowing we're on a back to back. It wore us down and our legs were gone by the 4th.

I'm sure you said the same thing around the Christmas dinner table last year.

We still should be able to beat this trash Utah team. I don’t know what it is, but they always play us tough.

This may be the stretch of games we stop holding Zion out. It’s obvious we can’t do that anymore.

I think they will be pretty comfortable holding Zion out of back to backs once CJ and Trey are back

I’m not saying it’s the right move, but I think they’ll be comfortable with it

Sometimes I wish David Griffin could still get in my head for a lil bit of optimism too.

It's hard to win games when you're down 3 starters. I count Trey as a starter.

CJ and Trey are hurt. It happens. We’ve been killing playoff teams without them. The reason we lost to a glorified G-league team is because our MVP candidate can’t get his shite together.

You're assuming an awful lot of healthy Pels players...

So we get them again Monday with their two best players back in the arena we can’t ever seem to win in . Awesome , that was a big game to lose

pels current playoff odds are legit 50/50 at all sportsbooks. we simply are not a team that can afford to go out of our way to lose games to injury/rest. we already will likely finish near the top of the league in total missed games due to injury. why in the world would we intentionally add to that number by resting healthy players? it's moronic and only hurts our chances of making the playoffs every time we do it

Even with resting Zion, we had no business losing this game. This jazz team without Lauri is probably the worst team we will play all year.

That game was a “scheduled loss”

You have those throughout the season, the NBA really needs to look hard at eliminating travel B2B’s, especially when the other team has a 3 day rest advantage, guys just flat out get to worn out in the 4th quarter of that second game no matter how well conditioned they are, you could see it when the shots just started falling a little bit short.

That’s something else y’all need to remember, Utah hadn’t played since Wednesday and had a very short flight from Portland to SLC, Pels played Wednesday and Friday while having to fly to LA and then SLC. We should have rested BI and Val also.

Just an abomination last night. Every game matters in the west. We aren’t GS who can afford to piss games away. Sitting Zion is beyond unacceptable. He’s twenty-three for Christ’s sake. The only season he’s been remotely healthy is when Stan worked him hard, and our plan is to coddle him? WTF?

Coaching was terrible tonight, too. It happens.

Dyson over CJ stans look more foolish than ever.

At no point is a game against the Jazz missing their two best players a scheduled loss. It’s embarrassing to lose to that squad.

And why is there not more outrage over the bullshite travel call? Dyson did not lift his left foot off the ground. Harrison Barnes pushed off then took 4 fricking steps to get behind the 3 point line in our previous game and no walk was called. How the nba selectively calls traveling really really really pisses me off.
Can you not challenge a traveling call?

That was really bad with Barnes. Then for a few games there the refs have been calling BI for traveling for doing the same thing every player with the ball does.

I can’t remember which Utah player… but last night the Utah player got to the paint late in the game and put his forearm into the Pels pushing the Pels player backwards. Utah player then stepped back for a jumper. I thought it was a pretty easy offensive foul call since they decided to start calling weak fouls in the second half.

I just wish they would call a game evenly and not let them play hard in one half and then start calling everything in the second half.
