I think Green needs to consider putting Fears out there earlier in the 3rd. Offense gets clunky without a PG on the floor during these critical stretches in the 3rd. Once Fears came in on the back half of the 3rd, the offense finally came alive.

Zion was plenty good. He gets beat up and no foul calls.
Trey is just goofy Trey. He is what he is. Can catch fire from 3. Can make a few plays with his length. Other than that, not much. He can’t defend. Can’t handle the ball. Can’t create offense. He’s a really tall spot up shooter. Yay!!

Fears is the real story though. That dude is a bucket and its scary how easy he made it look.
Pelicans need a home run from one of these two rookies to have any hope for the future. Fears looked great tonight offensively. Getting to the rim like he did was impressive.

Ja score last 12 Zion last 9 and probably got fouled 4 or 5 times. So there's that

He really did, unfortunately if he continues to develop it’s just a matter of time until he wants leave for brighter lights. Fears will not be a career Pel.

This dude is hilarious. Is this the same guy claiming Missi was gonna request a trade to the Lakers after the first glimpse of him being good? You really should be banned.

Actually...nowadays...hardly anybody is a "career" ANY team...but point taken.

Member when Zion said he “lives for this competitive shite?”

Context matters, he had two misses in the final 2 minutes that he followed up and scored on. There may have been others that I don’t remember. That “miss” ultimately means nothing because of the offensive rebound and put back. He scored on over 50% of his attempts, effectively. Hardly inefficient. If he goes 10-12 from the FT line it would have been an amazing game from him.

Or waited for year 7 to get in shape.
Or would have actually added something to his game in those 7 years. There's not one thing he does today that he couldn't do as a rookie. He has the exact same game as the day he was drafted.
I've been a Zion defender forever, but it is what it is. He has no leadership qualities and is a good, not great, player that almost never actually plays.

But he'll say everything right in the press conference.

Don’t get the vibe at all that he cares about brighter lights. Fears chose to go to college in Norman, Oklahoma which isn’t exactly “bright lights.” He has also embraced New Orleans and the team since he got here, so no reason at all to think he’d want to leave

The Pelicans looked pretty good last night. Fears needs to be the back PG and in the game if Poole is out.
Herb was great.
Fears looks legit , DQ looked like a rookie, but showed some skills
Trey needs to show up for this team to show up and play ball for them to win.
The 5 position is weak. I like Messi and DQ together but not long periods yet. They need to develop,
Bey is a great utility player. (I keep thinking he is Garrent Temple bc of his #) lol

I laughed out loud to myself. I can picture this happening at halftime or timeouts.
