Why is ESPN not mentioning trade with Atlanta?

Our own beat writers are trashing this trade. That’s how you know it’s bad

It’s unbelievably terrible. It’s egregious in every possible way.

I hope Queen is great man. That’s it.

It will be bad if Queen fails to flash any elite skills and spends his rookie season looking like an end-of-the-bench player. If Queen looks like a future quality starter, then it will be good.

That's the thing: we didn't trade "for the #13 pick." We traded for Derik Queen.

This is about Dumars and Weaver truly believing in this guy. I can respect that ... for now. But they had better be right.

No no matter what Queen does it’s a bad trade.

You gave up an unprotected pick, when you just picked 7…to move 10 spots.

The trade is what it is. Queen becoming whatever he becomes is irrelevant to that notion.

I brought up that scenario, specifically, because it just happened with Dallas.

In reality, this team will be AWFUL next year and that pick will go to Atlanta.

If Queen turns into a superstar, it would be a great trade....

I’m just glad that I have no expectations and even less faith that this team will ever be successful so this shite trade wont ruin my night

Took a while to get here but I’m glad it happened. Something like 20 years or so

Yes, Queen and Fears might be good.

But not next year, when our pick is on the line.

It's amazing how many people assume the balls will swing the Pels way when in their entire history in NOLA, which is about 22 years now, their card has been pulled for any of the ping pong picks twice.

Logic, stats, and decision-making based off both is not your strong suit I take it.

I like the move hate the trade, it at least should be a protected pick. That’s insane

The trade and the player are separate things. The trade was bad.

Queen turning into a superstar doesn’t matter to the trade itself the moment it happened.

Fears is an utter crapshoot and more likely to bust than even be serviceable. Just because one person says he reminds them of Kyrie doesn’t mean he will be anything close to that.

I remember Harold Minor being the next Jordan.

The fact is they made an utterly stupid trade with not only not having protections on the pick but giving up the better of the two picks.

Do you understand how stupid of a decision that is for an undersized center with questions on his effort level?

Unless we make playoffs and pick late. Queen becomes a legit nba player. Do I believe that will happen? Not at all with WG. I feel like Queen will be a bust. I hope I eat my crow and root for the young fella.

The worst part about this retarded trade is I can completely see Dumars defending it by saying something like "We're never going to make a decision out of fear that we're bad and we plan on always competing while I'm in the building". Your typical irrational macho bullshite.

Also queen may be a superstar, but it wouldn’t help next year. This team has a very strong chance of being the worst team in the league and you pull this trade. Crazy work
