He most certainly is. He was on the cutting edge of the only 3s/layups and no mid-range jumpers way back in 2009 at least 5 years before the rest of the league caught on to it.
Morey gets all the credit for that style, but SVG was doing it years before Morey.

Haven't heard Atkinson's name tied to any of the openings. Chances he lands somewhere as an assistant? Would be ecstatic to have someone like him or Weaver as lead assistant.

The absence of his name in advanced talks with pretty much any of the openings is odd to the point I really wonder if there are issues that never made it public?

Glad to finally have a coach and can start team building now. SVG is a solid coach and i think he has alot to offer the young players on this team.
