Zero chance a coach would want CJ McCollum go pass up THAT shot. None, you're a coach, it's wild that you're the one who doesn't realize something that obvious.

No use debating. That sequence showed how inept this thought process is. I bet you thought benching JV was genious by Willie. My teams would run circles around yours if you coached.

We do, our coach refuses to play him.

They will sign him so he is a tradeable asset upgrade.

That is the one aspect I really miss with Gentry. He actually puts effort into getting his stars the ball to close games and during important possessions. Willie has a tendency of moving away from Zion for no reason at all and keep him ghosted for long periods of time.

He was the first to complain JV being benched.

He was talking about the wife open 3.

That'll happen when Zion isn't fighting for the ball.

Similar to when everyone used to blame OKC Russ when KD would stand around and not fight or demand the ball.

Zion should not be a decoy in the closing minutes. I'm not sure why that's hard to understand for you, Willie and Zion.

If competent players are being left wide open then I am ok with Zion passing it. I mean I don’t expect Zion to get all the calls when he gets mauled at the end of games. The Pels are a small market team.

Lebron used to do the same thing back in the day when the whole opposing team would collapse on him.

Also I think Willie has held the team back in these close games.

Zion was fine and they played their asses off when they finally picked up the defensive intensity and started hitting 3s. My issue is why the defensive intensity wasn’t there until 3rd quarter. It takes a lot of energy to come back from that type of deficit and you often see teams run out of gas playing at a frenetic pace for that long.

He was fighting for post position and had it multiple times.

And, everyone was right when they blamed Russ for not getting the ball to KD.

Agree, anyone with a sliver of basketball IQ, much less a coach, knows a wide open 3 from an elite 3pt shooter with that much time left is a no brainer good decision.

You trying to see how many times you can be wrong it seems.

The answer is every time.

Wanna cookie?

Don't tell other coaches you think that CJ 3 was a bad decision, they'll laugh at you. You know that already if you know ball.

Of course if BI was healthy, we know who would have been monopolizing the ball down the stretch. Do we get everything running through Zion? No! CJ. Terrible coaching.

He keeps deferring. And others like CJ, Trey keep thinking that its ok for him to defer.

That dude bragging about his basketball IQ is... a choice

I'm the Pels Talk leader in the clubhouse of screaming to play through Val. Old boy is clueless.

And he was constantly grilled by the media for passing up the shot in clutch moments.

Crazy but falling apart like this feels worse than losing by 20. Because in a close game its still concerning we have the same clutch issues. We had all the momentum and we were out coached in the last 2 minutes. Willie gives us no edge in helping this team win in the clutch.

Whats crazy is without BI he gives you scoring, rebounding and you need thst. Larry wss doing nothing. Its the same defense over offense takes by Willie.

Willie is actually complaining about getting beat on the offensive glass when his best rebounder was sitting next to him.
