Trey with one of the most disappointing overall performance I ever seen from a Pel dude played like a punk, didn't want no part of the ball just stayed in the same spot every possession then when he did get the ball passed it as soon as possible. I got so much respect for Hawk dude wanted the ball and kept shooting while getting fouled. It's time to push the alarm button on Trey.

Then maybe he should add more versatility to his game to where he isn't always driving into a wall.

Well refs need to call obvious fouls.

The shooters on the team have to knock down wide open shots.

Willie has to put shooters on the floor.

I don’t disagree. But when your floor spacers can’t hit a shot it puts a ton of pressure on him. And again he gets very, very few calls. But yes the ability to take and hit a 15 foot jumper consistently would make him close to impossible to defend.

Do you think Giannis is very versatile? Hes been in the league several years and once in a while shoots a three. Offensively you think hes very versatile?

Giannis has like 6 inches on Zion. It’s not really that comparable

It’s not an assumption …we’ve seen it come up short plenty of times.

I’m not saying there were better options tonight given the ejections . There’s a reason Bam just dominated the last 6 minutes and the Pels could not score.

Keep making excuses .

Zion is not the problem.

Giannis is also 7 feet tall, so he's the size of the center that's also fast and can drive. Totally different animal. If Zion was that tall, he wouldn't have to add much to his game. Fact of the matter is, he is always driving into a dude taller than him.

And Giannis is terrific defensively .

He and Zion are not on the same planet as players.

Zion was very good tonight .

He doesn’t have the skill set to be a high level closer .

Robinsons and Herro went 8-16 from three, so we had to play Bam straight up with Nance. CJ, Hawkins and Trey went 4-22 from three, so Zion didn't see a 1 on 1 matchup after the 2nd quarter.

He'd have had 15 assists tonight if we could make a fricking 3

He's the problem in that he's our best player and there are very clear ways to gameplan out of a game, that's partly on Zion and partly on the fact that we have no shooter depth. We basically need Trey and Hawk to be their best selves night in and night out to fully unleash Zion... and they just aren't close to that right now. That's understandable for Hawk, he's a rook, but Trey regressing this much has really been a problem.

As as been noted on many occasions point Zion is not a sustainable winning formula .

Very good player that played a very good game.

His skill set does not allow him to be a closer against good teams.

I mean from the start of the game the Pels lost ground with Zion in the game and went on huge runs when he took a breather and Naji/Jose came in. The first run came with him on the bench. Then he came back out and the offense looked bad, took some terrible shots. He went back to the bench and the Pels went on a 17-2 run to close the first half. It wasn't a good game from the start for Zion.

That is true when his supporting cast is as ineffective as it was tonight. The wall he sees is usually 2, 3 people. Tonight it was 5 people. Interesting we had at least 2 defensive threes, yet the Heat were packing the paint but had none. Hard to figure that one out.

Surprised Naji didn’t start pulling up his shorts up and then put his hands up.
Naji Marshall is the exact opposite type of dude you think he is.

Interviewer is teeing Willie up about how Zion is reffed and he’s refusing to say anything other than the refs need to “be consistent.” I mean they were being really consistent. They gave him nothing all night long.

Jesus, you don’t get it. If Herro and Duncan shoot 4/22 Bam wouldn’t have had a 1 on 1. The Heat literally played 5 on 1 for the last 5 min once Zion re entered. It was great Hawk took the shot a bit he just didn’t make any. We had JRE and Larry on the floor to close. WE game planned our best player out of being effective. (Yes, I get that we were missing 4 guys. Trey should have still been in though. JRE didn’t rebound, missed two fts, and couldn’t get the one loose ball he had a shot at)

Zion has been good tonight no denying it.

But we are watching why he can’t be your closer
It's a coaching issue.

We either start him at the 3pt line or the worst, we give him the ball 15 feet out and for reasons I'll never understand, we park another Pels player and his defender right in between Zion and the bucket... Why?

If you give the ball to Zion right at the FT line, it's an automatic Zion shot at the rim or wide open 3 virtually every possession.

Perfect opportunity tonight for Willie to light up the refs. Unfortunately it'll never happen with him.
