Yet watching these last 4 games its kind of concerning how this team has played. Maybe it was just the break but they didn’t look great. Lets see how they do when they return.

and exhale. The good:
Offense overall played well.
The small ball line-up with point Zion worked very well.
Naji was huge off the bench.
Zion was 15-21 with 36 points, 6 boards, and 8 assists.

The bad:
Larry Nance Jr. He was horrible.
Willie Green is still lost when it comes to rotations and adjustments.
Defense was really bad. Only Herb and Naji were doing well on that end.

Solid record going into the break. Could be better. But, we got a little time to try to get into the Top 4 in the West. Gotta play better down the stretch. You almost wish it was mostly against teams with winning records bc we play up to our competition.

Whats crazy is last year in December we were 11 games above.500 and on top of the west. Now we’re 11 games above .500 in February and in sixth place. The west this year is just brutal.

He does love to feast on shite teams.

Just wish we'd see that type of aggressiveness against better teams more often. Not saying that I necessarily expect stats like that night in and night out from him, but he needs to be that aggressive every game, even if he's not always finishing.

Kills me that Willie had two timeouts left and didn't call one up 7 with Zion at the table and we had the ball. Like cmon man. 2:30 left. Get his arse in.

We missed a shot and Wizards went in a 4-0 run and Willie calls timeout with 1:30 left.

The last two good team (both LA teams) he absolutely does.

He looks like a completely different Zion right now. His defensive lapses are just so bad. A lot of it is his feet. Crazy to me he can't keep contain with how quick he is.

Another reason his coaching sucks arse. These are such basic coaching things.

I really feel like he never learned proper defensive technique in his formative years because he was faster and stronger than everyone in high school and college.

He still ball watches and runs around chasing like a rookie in October.

Its AAU basketball. Its ruined basketball. They cater to guys like Zion and dont teach fundamentals. Big reason you see these young stars with a lot of these issues or incomplete games despite their talent.

He was a very sound defender at Duke both on and off ball. I just think he can no longer physically move like he could when he was at the peak of his physical fitness but he's still trying to play like he's that guy.

But the alarming part is that those guys usually realize by the end of year 1 or year 2 that they need to adjust. Zion meanwhile still hasn't figured it out in year 5.

Against athletes and competition far less talented. It might have masked some of the issues we see now.

Again hes only technically played one full season. I also think our organization coddles him as well.
