No way I’m giving that pick up just for Gobert. The lesser of the pick woukd go to the Hawks thanks to the DD trade. That would put us not having any picks in two years where the draft is the life blood of a small market team…
Gobert will turn 34 soon. That pick only goes out for a young ascending player that would be on the same timeline of Fears…

This is a million times worse than literally doing nothing. I will bet any amount of money that no matter what trades Joe makes this team will not even make the Play in next year

Why do I still care about this team if they are going to do stupid shite like this?

If they sign Zion to an extension I will without a doubt quit being a Pelicans fan.
I have little to no interest in this team next year if he’s still on the roster.
Keeping Zion isn’t a win now move. We’ve had 7 years of not winning with him. That isn’t changing in year 8. he has zero game outside of offensively driving left to the goal and finishing b/c of athleticism. He has zero footwork, can’t dribble, refuses to shoot or even move off ball, doesn’t rebound and is one of the laziest defenders to ever play. His game doesn’t mesh well with anyone b/c he has no game and doesn’t play defense.
We went from considering cutting him and not being able to trade him at all to wanting to give him an extension after just one shitty season where he gave minimal effort all year just to show he could be somewhat healthy? get the frick outta here.

Why trade an unprotected 1st this year for Queen just block his development by holding on to Zion? It literally makes no sense

This is Dumars and Weaver were talking about.

So we used to 1st’s on players that will come off the bench? Trade for a bunch of old farts? What is next ? They bring Gentry back?
Posted on 4/10/26 at 10:41 am to NawlinsTiger9
So Dumars is going to sacrifice long-term winning for short-term mediocrity. Just absolutely moronic.

someone explain why we hating on a 21-24 ppg scorer at a 60% clip rate that can share minute volume at a proposed 2 yr from now 35 million per yr extension?
when i ask for explaining, just remember its rhetorical.
and remember, ya'll the same folks saying we ain't getting shite for him in a trade.

That's not the bad part. The bad part is what I quoted.

queen's development? I think queen can become whatever he wants to become still with or without zion.

He might be getting moved too. Reports are Dumars is thinking everyone is replaceable except Zion.
Welcome to the Darvin Ham era.

You trust Joe? LOL. Ask Detroit.

I'm worried Ham is the wrong coach for Queen.
He's one of those coaches who is irrational about defense, and Queen has major issues there and it may not be fixable (with his athletic profile). He's the type of coach to sit young players who aren't defensive pieces, which would be a disaster for developing Queen.
He doesn't have any real offense and lacks the ability to draw up plays. Allegedly is terrible with subs/timeouts, too.
Sounds like THE perfect coach for a retard like Dumars.

Trading 1st and Herb for "win now" players was the bigger part.
But trading our 1st in this insane draft to get Queen and then not playing him is retarded on its own, yes.
