Not for the first 2 and a half quarters

They beat any team in the league in that last 1.5 quarters though. They couldn't fricking miss.

Bench isn't suspect it's just not deep at all past 7.5 guys. Having 6 guys that are legit 30+ players should be used as such. Our top end depth is our bench. I get Monty testing to see what he's got but when you go into Cleveland and have a chance to beat LBJ at home after stealing one in SA, you have to go for it. This had the potential to be a franchise turning win as winning is a learned skill as well. The difference in tonight's game was their starters minutes vs ours. Give those 10 Salmons and 5 Jimmer minutes to EG, Asik, and Reke and it's likely a down to the wire affair. Tinker when you have the space to tinker. Not when you're playing the best big 3 in the NBA.

Credit where credit is due. Irving, Bron, and Love didn't miss anything for the better part of 1.5 quarters.

Dude just put Davis as your avatar already. No one cares if you're bandwagon at all. We just dislike you acting like you give a crap while having to stare at a picture of LBJ holding that damn trophy.

If you do it before the bandwagon really arrives, you'll essentially be driving the damn thing. King of the bandwagoners. The first of an era.

ETA: you change that damn avi accordingly and you're one of us in my eyes. Join the unibrow empire.

27-51 fg , 11-19 3 pt , 22 Rebs , 21 assts , 86 points. There were some breakdowns but James and Irving mostly just showed up and that opened it up for Love.

I know you are only used to looking at FTM/FTA on the stat sheet, but I gotta believe you're better than that if you thought those 3 didn't ball out in the 2nd half. Their talent was overwhelming.

I watched the whole game. They were getting wide-open looks. That's why they weren't missing.

And they were driving into the paint with little resistance and getting easy buckets.

It was bad defense.

Now that ive had time to get over the loss this is what i think it can be chalked up to.

1) Monty was playing Russian roulette with the the bench. It worked while Ryno was en fuego but he left them in too long.

2) 3 guard sets will work this season but not against teams with a player like LeBron (size at the 3, not necessarily the best player on the planet haha). You CANNOT have Jrue Holiday getting posted up in the paint.

3) People will point at Love being left open but that is in direct association with the above. Guys have to come to the aid of the physically out matched defender leaving Love wide arse open behind the arc.

ETA:

4) Rivers needs to be getting as many minutes as EG.

The run they made was when we had to rest Tyreke and Jrue and it became glaring how big the hole at SF is. Picking up a guy like Draymond Green would be great in the offseason.

I think the worst part of this loss is having every tweet related to Pelicans this morning be about LeBron.

We were also without two backup SFs. It's not that either is great, but they at least have height to try to defend James or Love.

One of Millers stand out games from last year was where he defended LeBron well wasn't it? Or was that Durant? Either way he definitely would have helped.
