Postgame is highlighting Lonzo, who was definitely great tonight. He has improved so much over this season. Completely different player than he was the first ~15 games.

He was +32 with 2 minutes to go in the game.

Pretty shocking to see. He couldn’t hit those shots early on in the year and now he’s super confident in that shot. His offensive ceiling is a lot higher than we gave him credit for considering how much he’s showing in such a short amount of time.

No it’s not actually. He’s shooting like 20% from midrange this year, but he did make that nice one. If you’ve got a guy who can knock that shot down it’s lethal, no one defends the mid range off the screen anymore. They all drop, and I think it was the Warriors who ate Portland and Kanter alive last year doing that in the playoffs.

Zo is going to be prime rondo + 3 point shooting for us. We are in for a treat.

My first instinct reading this is to say that Lonzo doesn't have anywhere close to that basketball IQ, but he might not be too far off. Rondo is probably the smartest player to ever step on the court, but Lonzo makes ~4 brilliant passes every game.

But yeah, Lonzo looks like he's going to be a better 3pt shooter than Rondo. And he obviously has a huge size advantage.

If we get a great coach, we’re going to be the new Spurs. Hardworking small market team with a cornerstone Superstar surrounded by great players. And Brandon Ingram is the wildcard that makes it not that much of a stretch.

I see more of a Jason Kidd Lite out of Lonzo, which is fantastic.

I think his basketball IQ is insanely high. He makes some bad passes, but I think those get cut down with more experience and more chemistry with this team.

Both Bron and Rondo have gone on the record saying Zo has insane bball iq.
