I can see a lot of downsides with fit but it works if two things happen: AD's usage goes down 20% and Cousins plays hard on D far more often than he does now

Also worth noting Boogie has only played 2 minutes tonight. That may just be over speculation but it would play into the trade scenario.

Slightly off topic, if you obtain Cousins is Holiday REALLY the PG you want getting Cousins and Davis the ball? Wouldn't it be better going after a more natural facilitator like Ricky Rubio? I mean Minny seems like they'd give him away almost. Use Holiday as pure salary dump help and go after a 3 who's more enticed by Davis/Cousins than just Davis in free agency?

I don't think Rubio is a better fit than Jrue. If you have Cousins and Davis playing together down low you need shooters at 1-3 to space the floor.

Jrue is necessary as he will be the only backcourt who can carry the team if needed. Also, his defense will be important. He is the perfect PG with a guy like Cousins who can create his own and create for others.

Um no AD and Cousins both have legit jump shots.

Yeah I know that dude. But if you have two guys who get the ball in the post you have to have shooters around them so the defense can't collapse and double team. Pretty basic basketball.

Jrue + Hill is not better than Rubio + shooter imo. Look at Rajon Rondo's tenure in Boston. You have to have a PG who can probe and get the stars involved if those stars aren't natural ballhandlers.
ETA: I don't want to watch an offense where Holiday dumps the ball into the post and lets the 2 bigs alternate hero ball. Give me some creativity as a distributor if you have 2 efficient as hell bigs.
