We'll probably win one of them, but yeah, it's going to be a tough road trip followed by a tough Lakers game at home.

2-2 would be great. Phoenix is winnable hopefully Kwahi is on a load management

Good news -- we just sent Cheatham and Gray back to Erie, so we must be getting some more guys healthy.

I read Zo is expected back saturday. I really hope this doesn't screw things up lol. It seems we are pretty comfortable with rotations right now. It will be interesting to see how the team operates when everyone comes back

He can take NAW's minutes.
If alvin puts him back in the starting lineup and benches JJ I will fricking tear this motherfricker down.

putting Zo back in starting lineup would -- at least to me -- be a purely political move... Trying not to hurt his feelings or his confidence by having him come off the bench
Uncle Buddy Al does seem stupid enough to do this

If Lonzo stays on the bench, then it's a basically a declaration that he's going to be traded.
Gentry isn't going to make that move without input from Griffin.

I'm still really weirded out by that sequence against Brooklyn where Lonzo tripped over his own foot twice just dribbling down the court
it almost looked like he has drop foot.. that or he was drunk

I agree with this.
Put Zo with Frank/NAW and Moore/ on the second unit. The Jrue/JJ combo is working too well to frick with right now.
Kind of funny how with previous rosters, we all believed that PG Jrue was suboptimal and he would be so much more effective as an off ball guard. Now, with this roster, him becoming a ball dominant point guard has had the biggest positive effect on our record.

Help me understand the hate for Zo. I haven’t watch a lot of games but his stats seem ok. 11.5/6.1/1.6 on 41.5/36.7/60.0. Not great but not terrible. His 3pt% has improved and is respectable. In the games I have watched, I think he does take too many 3s. His FT percentage is also up from last year (lol). He is still young. He may not ever live up to his draft position but he could be a serviceable player on this team with reps.

He seems to take the stupidest shots at the absolute worst possible times
Down 3 or 4.. other team picking up momentum.. Zo comes down and two seconds into the shotclock throws up a fadeaway moving 3 that barely catches rim.. usually off in the corner or something where he takes himself out of transition defense as well

I'm not a Zo hater at all. Actually rooting very hard for him to succeed here.
The Jrue/JJ combo is just working too damn well to mess with it now.

Some of you can’t see the forest through the trees.
This team and scheme is built around Zion and we don’t have Zion yet. Let the pieces around Zion build some chemistry instead of expecting 19-22 year olds to come in and play alongside new faces with zero growing pains.
The Heatles went 9-8 in their first 17 games and they had 3 All NBA players in their prime.

I agree his shot selection needs to improve but it would seem that should be an easy fix. I also feel he needs to drive to the basket more. I believe his game will improve even more once Zion is back. He isn’t playing to his strengths right now but hope that changes once the pick and roll becomes more of a factor.
