That's a terrible fricking trade.

It's a whole heck of a lot better than BI playing out this season.

And it's pretty darn apparent there are no better trades out there, so it's something like that(if that's even a real option) or BI plays and we much up another year of Trey not starting then BI walking at the end of the year and we still don't have a center.

No idea, but the rumor was Ainge wanted Hawk from what I read.
Hadn't read that. If true, something like Hawk, JRE and a 2nd for Kessler would give us our 5 and get us back under the tax.

No, it isn't. That trade is a talent downgrade.

It makes the roster better overall though. It gives us a real, starting NBA center which we don’t have, a backup 4 which we don’t really have, and you replace BI with Trey who needs to start.

You can say talent downgrade all you want but I guarantee that if they make that trade the Pels win total in Vegas increases.

Wait, you think adding Kessler is worse than having BI for just 1 more season on this currently constructed team?

There's a reason why he worded it that way.

If he truly thought it would make the team worse, he would have said that. He did not say that, so he worded it as "talent downgrade"

It is poor asset management, but that's kind of what Griff has shown. Miss on the big swings and pull a Herb and Trey out of a hat to balance it out. Getting Murray relatively cheap was the balance to blowing a BI trade. It just happened out of order.

Didn't realize Green was that old already.

The Celtics just won a chip with a 75 year old Al horford as stating center and freaking Luke Kornet as his backup ,

They also had that Porzingis guy. Plus, Horford is a former multi time all star who shot 51.6% from the floor and 41.9% from three last season. He would be the best center on our roster by far.

Bulls fans love this dude. Some were calling for him to start over Patrick Williams.

Looks like he got hurt season before last.

He probably should've

Yep, It's always one step forward and then one step back for Griff.

He nailed the dejounte trade, he got great value there.

It should have allowed him to take a lesser talent but better fitting return for BI but he held way too high of a value for BI and now we're stuck.

Going into this season with BI on an expiring deal is the worst option IMO.
