All season Zion will be difficult with his foot surgery.

Always liked JV, but I will say, I'm gonna miss Steven Adams, if only for the press conferences.
Dude is one of the best personalities.
But JV said all the right things. Including understanding the floor balance that will need to be achieved playing next to Zion and needing to step out more for threes.

Brandon Ingram on Willie Green so far: "He's just a really, really good guy. He's a people's person. He has a feel for energy in the room." Adds "He's easier to talk to because he was a player. You feel more confident talking to him."
Hmmmm

My subtle takeaway based on multiple player comments all mentioning Green as being better at understanding the difficulties of the season is that one of the issues with Stan must have been how poorly he handled the difficulty of the Covid season from the players POV.
Zion, Hayes and BI have all said subtle words to that.

quote:Nah. SVG mentioned in a postgame presser he didn't really like Jaxson taking 3s.
Which makes the Jaxson Hayes reports both odd(and given today with the local media credibility, possibly bullshite).

Yeah and we’ve heard whispers of that all offseason.
Stan is just not a players coach and wasnt the right personality for the job. He’s an arse that’s not going to bother trying to relate to players.
I think we are going to see a different level of players “getting it” with Willie being able to relate.

Interesting, a little surprised but I guess not really.

Z's demeanor during his interview has made me feel a little bit better about all the rumors going around. He can't stop smiling and he's not beating around the bush really.
I’m glad he said what he said. But his body language was off when he was talking. And the whole thing was kind of passive aggressive
I’m hoping it’s more directed towards the media writing fake shite than it is the media writing the right shite & making him feel uncomfortable

I didn’t really feel that. He was in a good mood and also was a little more honest and straightforward than he normally is. I thought he came across pretty genuine and a little more mature but I guess we will see.

toward the media is how I interpreted things.
I mean he flat out laughed out loud when they called Christian Clark's name and then went out of his way to exaggeratingly thank Fletcher for asking him about the organization. It seems pretty clear he wanted to set the record straight(or at least show a unified front) and he was directing his passive aggressiveness(if we want to call it that) in that direction.

The internet is the worst. Some people trying to cast his joke as "homophobic"

I'll say this...this team is full of very likeable guys. Hopefully it translates to the court and winning.

Willy Hernangomez is clearly one of those guys that is one of those low key glue guys in a locker room culture.
Seems everyone loves him, carries all the right character traits, infectiously positive, and he just builds a healthy locker room by being in it.

Josh Hart is on his 4th coach in 4 years. Says he's had 4.5 if you count LeBron.

Probably. He just didn’t seem comfortable at all,

Honestly I can't really recall an interview with Zion where he doesn't look uncomfortable.

Zion didn't even know who Fletcher was, and he has been covering the Pels his whole career ... our local media is a damn joke
