I still think that is high for him. Should be 8 mill or so, but whatever.

They clearly have a plan, and they clearly targeted him right away. So I'm glad they got their guy.

Now, obviously, we can't sign him outright for that money, and we can't do a S&T with just Vasquez for that money (unless it is structured so the first year is fairly low).

So more moves are coming, clearly.

@JimmySpencerNBAHearing from a trusted source that Tyreke Evans could be signing an offer sheet with the New Orleans Pelicans by as early as tonight.

This guy seems fairly legit

Just heard that Pelicans offer to Tyreke Evans would be 4 years, $40 mil. That's a $35 mil-per-year backcourt, assuming Eric Gordon stays

So... Jrue-level money.

If we get Evans, then we may as well start shopping Vasquez and/or Gordon.

Pelicans would bring Tyreke Evans off the bench in a Manu Ginobili-style role, source says. Not saying it'll work. But that's the idea.

He and Ryno both off the bench?

I wonder if he will actually sign the offer sheet, or he will just agree that he WILL sign the offer sheet with us, so that we can work out a S&T with the Kings.

Here's an article from At The Hive calculating 4/$37 for Evans by cutting Lance Thomas and Terrell Harris and then doing a S&T of Vasquez for Tyreke.

I think the only ideas he was comfortable with were "Let's switch the concessions over to RC Cola" and "Daddy, I need some more weed money, can you hire me as a talent scout?"

Almost 20 million dollars coming off the bench in two guys.

No fricking shot. No.

I saw a tweet today that Evans won't take any amount of money to play the 3. Im not sure if it has been mentioned in this thread or what.

But if we are offering him then Gordon is not going to be on this team next season.

And I know its not who starts its how many minutes you play and blah blah blah.

But that is effing retarded if you already want Jrue and Gordon to get lots of minutes. And there is STILL a massive, gaping, hole at SF if this is true.

I just don't believe it, unless they have some AWESOME plan at SF.
