We trade cp3 for a nice pick, luck into AD, and miss Lillard and Drummond in the same draft but end up with rivers

Minnesota trades love, ends up with Wiggins and lucks into KAT.

Life isn't fair.

Because of Minnesota doing better than expected.

Let's wait for the lottery before we complain. Look at the injuries, the Basketball Gods had to have a reason for wanting the Pels to tank, right?

I bet my Turtle that the T Wovles get a top 3 pick and the Pels slide to number 7-8.

Last time the team missed he playoffs Dell's end of the season presser was on 4/16/14 and 4/23/13. John Reid recent dropped this gem on Nola.

quote:

New Orleans Pelicans officials said Wednesday they are still working on scheduling a season-ending news conference for general manager Dell Demps but no exact date has been set yet.

The franchise also would not elaborate on anything else beyond that regarding Demps, who has been in charge of the Pelicans' basketball operations since 2010. There has been speculation since last week that Demps is on the hot seat and the franchise could move in a different direction.

When a team official was asked on Wednesday if Demps was currently working on draft preparations his response was, "I don't know."

However, a source within the franchise last week denied a report from the Racine Journal that speculated former Detroit Pistons player and executive Joe Dumars could be hired by the Pelicans as their new president of basketball operations, replacing Demps. The report also speculated that Dumars would in turn hire current Milwaukee Bucks general manager John Hammond to assume similar duties with the Pelicans.

There was also the report the Hammond would become the new GM. The same guy who reported that is the guy who said this team will have a shake up regardless of them making the playoffs. So he has some inside Intel.

This should be amended to include the fact that Minnesota now has a coach with consistent success while we passed on him for a coach with the exact opposite.

the lack of urgency with this organization is frightening. Meanwhile, west keeps getting stronger while we stand pat. Great work guys, keep it up.

Scott Brooks has agreed to deal to become the Washington coach, league source tells @TheVertical

Houston was reportedly down to Scott Brooks and JVG, so I guess there goes the dream of a clean sweep of the FO and coaching staff for JVG.

We had our choice of top candidates last year and instead took an old coach who has never proven any type of sustained success in the NBA. What a disaster this organization is. We have a GM who is winging it and a coach who is a "never has been." We luck out and get a once in a decade player in AD and basically put a pathetically mismatched group of outcasts around him instead of building a core.

So it's his fault with the team that was decimated by injuries?
