Tucker had a per of 13.31. Aminu's was 13.19. Good enough for 21 and 22 among qualifying small forwards.

This may be stupid. Any chance we could use rynos injury/neck surgery to file for another trade exception?

That and Ely should be enough to match Houston. I think this kind of leads right where we need it to.

ETA - Did I see somewhere that MLE can't be used for sign and trades?

Correct, it can't.

There is a rule that allows teams to re-sign their own free agents for trading purposes, called the sign-and-trade rule.

...The player cannot be signed using the Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level exception, the Taxpayer Mid-Level exception, or any exception that cannot be used to offer a three-year contract

Just something different to look at it's a video of Josh Howard and his recovery seems like it was done less than a year ago

According to Woj the Cavs spent yesterday clearing cap space at the direction LeBron's agent and expected to get a commitment from LeBron yesterday. Instead of calling the Cavs, he flew back to Miami with DWade last night. LINK

That's weird. Dragic or Bledsoe on the move?

I think his price tag is only in the $6ish range, I'm guessing dynamic 3rd guard/6th man.

BREAKING: @Chris_Broussard reports that LeBron still hung up on Gilbert letter @ESPNSteinLine on set for reaction NOW LINK

So the flight to Miami was planned, and supposedly the only thing standing in the way of LeBron back to Cleveland is the bridge that was burned on the way out of town. Is LeBron setting up a public apology from Gilbert, or setting Gilbert up to take the heat when LeBron stays in Miami?

Even with his size, that's crazy in this market for 21 and 6.5 on efficient shooting and low TOs. If that's what he is looking at, why in the world did they pay $5M for Collison?

That could work. Not too sure Thomas is willing to play 3rd fiddle after all the BS in Sacramento though. I could see a S/T for Bledsoe or flipping Dragic while his value is at it's peak for frontcourt help.

BREAKING: 4 year old preposterous, bitter letter pissed off it's target.

Hasn't Gilbert being an assclown been the catch for LeBron to Cleveland for a while? The Berger story (if it's true) of LeBron v owners (mainly Gilbert) at the 2011 ASG before the lockout isn't promising either.

I haven't been paying much attention to Sacramento, but I remember seeing a tweet from I think a Sac blogger saying they brought in DC to start and are paying him $5 million, so they won't pay Thomas $8 million and neither will anyone else. Or something along those lines. Maybe the blogger is wrong, but I think the market for such a small PG is limited despite his scoring ability. He's kind of like Vasquez in many ways, he can do some really good things, but physical limitations will keep him from ever being a starter on a very good team.

That might be part of the sales pitch from Phoenix. "Do you want to play 3rd fiddle to 2 All Star caliber guards, or Darren Collison?"

There was some talk that Bledsoe is going to be a huge free agent target by a lot of teams (after the Lebron mess is over) and Phx might not match a max offer. Thomas might fit in after that. Although Phx did just draft a pretty good PG..
