Well, thank y'all for the updates.

I still believe that Ryan's domino will fall eventually.

While it's true that we have to make a move, the move we make doesn't have to be a positive one. It could just be salary dumps of lesser players.

If the Pelicans end up with Holiday, Evans, Gordon, Rivers, Davis, Anderson, and Asik then they should be able to hide a project or older veteran SF in the rotation. We have a lot of talent currently on the roster and every team will have some flaws.

Just looking at it right now SF looks like a flaw, but overall the Pelicans will have a strong first and second unit.

What about Carlos Delfino from the Bucks? Looks like he didn't play last year due to injury, but is expected to play this in the FIBA world championship this summer. Him and Middleton are two guys from Milwaukee I'm interested in. Delfino has 1 year/$3.5m left on his deal. I don't know what they would want for him, or if they're even interested in trading him, but given our lack of options he would be a good fit.

Could these two moves be possible? This is only conjecture on my part...

Rivers and S&T Aminu to Clips for Dudley and pick

Three team trade between Pels, Bucks, and Wolves

Pels get - Middleton and Martin
Wolves get - Mayo and Ilyasova (have a feeling love is on the move soon)
Bucks get - Gordon and Budinger

We're gotten to the point in free agency where some teams in pursuit think LeBron is more likely to leave than Melo. Stunning turn of events

I haven't heard a peep about Kevin Love, in fact Bosh seems to be the Rockets fall back guy if they don't get Melo. The only thing I've seen about love is:

Once 'Melo re-signs w/ the Knicks, expect @Phil Jackson to make a run at trading for Love. I still can't find a good match though. #twolves

But what do the Knicks have to trade for Love?

FWIW, Pierre Jackson may have just ruptured his achilles.

This mostly sounds like John Reid is compiling all the rumors we've heard, the past few days, but Ajinca being on the block is new.

quote:

While Morrow continues to attract attention, the Pelicans' primary focus continues to be finding a willing trade partner to move either Eric Gordon, Austin Rivers or center Alexis Ajinca in an effort to create enough cap space to absorb center Omer Asik's $8.3 million salary.

...Several teams remain interested in acquiring forward Ryan Anderson in a trade, but the Pelicans are still reluctant to part ways with him, according to league sources.

The Pelicans' best possible trade deal at this point involves Rivers, a young emerging player who is scheduled to make $2.4 million this season and there is a team option in 2015-16 for $3.1 million.

Though the Pelicans have been quiet so far in free agency, Demps has contacted the representatives of veteran unrestricted point guard Jameer Nelson, sources confirmed. The Pelicans have also showed interest in Rockets restricted guard Troy Daniels.

The Pelicans could be looking to acquire a veteran guard in free agency to replace Rivers if he's traded.

Meanwhile, Rockets, Cavs pushing closer to creating max contract slots. Deals lined up for Jeremy Lin. Cavs shopping Jarrett Jack w/ a pick.

Rivers and scrubs for Asik
3 way S&T of Smith/Aminu/Roberts and scrubs for Jack and Pick
S&T of whatever is left for Dudley.

The stars would have to line up for all of that to happen, but then you've basically turned Rivers and a pick into Asik/Jack/Dudley and a pick.

Amare Stoudemire's overpaid corpse, Tim Hardaway Jr, Iman Shumpert, and Shane Larkin.

In order for Stoudemire and/or Bargnani to get moved, New York has to eat a lot of the shitty deals left on Minny's roster like Kevin Martin.

In that case maybe they'd like 2 years of Gordon over 3 years of KMart. Although that still doesn't seem like much of a return on Love.
