Marvin Williams solidly on "next" line for threes after top four/five. Talking with Spurs, Heat, Wizards, Hornets, Clips, Magic, Suns.
No mention of Pels.

What the heck are we doing? I'm not a big fan of Marvin but you have to imagine Dell is doing...something.

I think a S&T for Jared Dudley makes sense.

Yahoo Sources: Free agent @Spencer Hawes reaches agreement on a four-year, $23M deal with the Clippers. yhoo.it/1o8KjiY
This would probably make them less interested in a S&T of Smith, although not necessarily Aminu.

While I agree with Rohan's point, it doesn't help the cause when you have an error in your title.

If Baby doesn't re-sign as 4th big, Clips could target Ekpe Udoh or Anthony Tolliver w/ bi-annual exception. Farmar obviously in play, too
Maybe Jason Smith could be in play still. Smith for Dudley is probably better for the Clippers than keeping Dudley and spending the minimum on one of these 2.

Suns RFA PJ Tucker is receiving interest from teams, but they're hesitant to make an offer due to fears it will be matched, a source said.

Some teams have inquired about the possibility of a sign and trade for Suns restricted free agent swingman PJ Tucker, the source said.

What do we have left to trade? Phoenix has cap space so if they want any of our FAs, they can just sign them.

Not sure. I think we're in a holding pattern at the moment.
Maybe we have something worked out with one these teams who are waiting on Lebron and Carmelo's decisions first.
There were the Anderson/Phoenix rumors, for example

Obviously, the Pels will eventually make more moves. They have to.
BTW, has anyone recognized the need for a 3?

According to one exec whose team has met with LeBron's agent seems like he's waiting Heat to make a move & they can't.
Same exec feels it's a Miami-Cleveland battle & LeBron is waiting for a team to make a splash.
Feeling is that if LeBron doesn't sign w/ Heat soon that upgrades to bench won't be possible because players are leery of signing w/out him
If LeBron leaves Miami the prevailing thought is Chris Bosh prefers to stay but suddenly his salary demands do too. Houston a real option.

Wtf is taking so long?
I know it's frustrating, but it's not really a bad sign. We're not going to hit the home run with a 3 this year (btw, you know we really could use an upgrade there), so I think they just want to be smart. Things will fall into place.

I hear ya. My comment wasn't just regarding the Pelicans. Really nothing has happened of relevance save Dirk and possibly Lowry. Right?

Melo is enjoying the process.
