European forward Damjan Rudez has reached agreement on a three-year deal with the Indiana Pacers, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
The Pacers, who are pursuing shooting on the free-agent market, will pay Rudez, 27, out of a portion of their mid-level exception.
...Rudez, who is 6-foot-10, plays the coveted NBA stretch-four position.

Replacement for Chris Copeland since Copeland is coming here as part of a Gordon for Lance Stephenson S&T to a 3rd team? *fingerscrossed*

Tough unrestricted free agent market for Lance Stephenson, I should say. Trouble finding leverage on the Pacers.
Am I reading this wrong? It sounds like he's saying things are tough for Stephenson, not the Pacers. But it seems like with this inflated market several teams would looking to pay Lance more than the $9 million Indy offered.

I just don't understand how it happens, but are we hearing this potential lineup from rumors.
Holiday/Smith
Gordon/Evans
Batum/Aminu (or Miller)
Davis/Babbitt
Asik/Withey/Ajinca

No way that's right. If Bradley can get 8, Stephenson should get 10 at minimum.

No. Ryno for Batum would bring money in, not send it out. If you did Ryno for Batum you'd have to unload Gordon. The most realistic I could come up with was:
Gordon to Lakers
Nash and Asik to NOLA
2015 1st to Houston
+
Ryno/Ely/Southerland/Babbit to Detroit
Monroe to Portland
Batum/Singler/Blatche to NOLA
Trade exception to Brooklyn
And you'd still have the full MLE

Issue is, lakers don't want Gordon

At 11pm you're hitting on the hotties, not the plain Janes, but once 2am rolls around, Jane starts looking better. The Lakers are hitting on the hotties right now, but they will strike out, and unless they plan to tank, they are going home with a plain Jane.

yeah, they already have their savior Xavier Henry

He's actually a free agent

Indications are, he is a bit of a crazy a-hole. So teams may be leery of giving him a big-money, multi-year deal.

If we somehow ended up with Batum, lose ryno and EG, I think missing the playoffs would demand Monty's head.

Lowe was on Simmons's podcast the other day. Follow up to his Nets piece, but he listed the 8 other teams that were projected to lose money and the Pelicans weren't one of them.
LINK
Also a lengthy discussion on the Lakers and how they should make a run with 2 year guys to have maximum cap space for summer of 2016.
EG to LA?

Utah RFA Gordon Hayward is meeting with Cavaliers officials in Cleveland today, sources tell Yahoo. Offer sheet could be forthcoming.

i wonder if Utah matches regardless of the offer

Free agent guard Ben Gordon has agreed to a two-year, $9 million deal with the Orlando Magic, league source tells Yahoo Sports.
Wow. If a washed up Ben Gordon can get $4.5 per, Morrow is getting more than the MLE.

So Hayward to Cleveland could maybe possibly sorta mean Deng to here in sign-and-trade if the Ryno/Monroe rumors (morphed to a three-way) have any legs? Can a man dream (that Deng would want to come here)?
Posted on 7/2/14 at 12:13 pm to TigerinATL
holy shite, how inflated is this market? holiday and reke's deals are looking like steals right now.
Posted on 7/2/14 at 12:13 pm to Jwho77
I don't see Deng fitting with Tyreke and Asik. He's a better shooter than Aminu, but he's not a good or even mediocre shooter.
