At this rate, would CDR or Hamilton be THAT much better than just re-signing Darius Miller? We literally just need a guy who can stand in the corner to knock down 3s, and stay in front of his guy on defense. He has the size and athleticism, 2 years on the team, and can hit the 3 at a decent clip.

I really don't know, it's pretty much scraps left behind now
I would like Marion, but I'm not sure that he's what this team needs.

For all we know,Dell might ship off EG for a quality SF tommorrow.
God that would be great.

I know, man. It's exactly like Center last offseason, and signing Steimsma. "All we need is a guy who can rebound and play defense decently."
Luckily for us Center is a lot more important, than SF. Ideally we could pull off some small trade and net someone like Jared Dudley, he really fell out of favor with the Clips last season.

Nevermind, we aren't getting anything.

I'm sure it's a crappy 2nd. But why not just say that? I hate that shite.
Cause he didn't know. Just tweeted out that he misunderstood the trade rules. We get nothing from Wash.

They need 2 cheap 3s. One who can hit open 3s and at least not be a turnstile on defense. Another who can rebound and play defense.
Casspi could be the first guy. Wes Johnson or Aminu or someone else could be the second.
They need more big wings, even if they aren't starter caliber. The roster is still unbalanced with 4 6'4" or smaller G and 5 bigs 6'`10" or taller.

Tyreke is 6'6" with a 6'11 wingspan at 225. He should be able to gaurd 3's, he just doesn't want to. Casspi is the same weight as Tyreke and only has a 2" advantage on standing reach over tyeke.
Ajinca, Withy, and Asik are all OVER 7', and there's rumors Davis is 7' now.

I agree, which goes back to my question- Can Darius Miller be that guy? I'd much rather re-sign him than Aminu.

No, Tyreke is 6'4".
That said, Tyreke's length and strength should allow him to guard 3s if he put in the effort, but he seems to have an idea of what he is set in his mind and refuses to entertain any other views.

well he doesn't play bare foot so he's 6'6"
regardless, he's big enough and his wingspan more than makes up for being an inch or 2 shorter than most SF.

i concur

Right. 1 guy out of 9 on the roster is between 6'6" and 6'9". That's a problem. 6'6" and whatever reach you want is still small for a typical NBA 3. Evans can play some there, but he needs big guards at the 1 and 2 to offset his relative lack of size.
They bring back Miller that helps. But Smith is on a guaranteed contract and he's smaller than Roberts. So 5 guards. If Young makes the team and Ajinca and Withey both stay, we're up to 6 bigs. That's 13 roster spots with one small 3 and one quite mediocre one.
Edit: Casspi is number 2. So they would have 1 small SF and 2 "normal" size. Still a bit of a problem considering Monty is not a fan of small ball.
