Somebody has to sit at the end of the bench...

With all the games he didn't play at Kansas and Gentry saying he's only going to get better with experience, I wouldn't be surprised if they sent Diallo down to DLeauge for a couple of stretches during the year. Tyreke starting the year injured plus even normal NBA injury luck and Gee could be on the active 12 for opening day.

At least he's at the end of the bench instead of starting.

@ShamsCharania RFA Moe Harkless has agreed to a four-year, $40M-plus deal to re-sign with the Portland Trail Blazers, league sources tell The Vertical.

Portland spending big time.
Lil - 5/$140M
Crabbe - 4/$75M
McCollum - 4/$106M
Turner - 4/$70M
Leonard - 4/$41M
Hark - 4/$40M+

Almost half a billion tied into 6 guys over the next 4 years.

My back of the napkin math says just those contracts will put them over the cap next year. Obviously they can make trades, but they're locked into this core. It's not bad, but it's not a contender either unless someone like Crabbe blows up.

Harkless will be a trade piece in the future and maybe Crabbe too if they want to take it to the next level - just my opinion

they are well over the cap, but are about 1MM short of the tax since CJs extension doesn't kick in till next year. Next two years after this they'll be in the tax

I know Dell was pursuing him a few years ago. Fell off of a cliff after 2 pretty damn solid seasons. Shot 42% from 3 in first two seasons, 31% and 28% in past 2.
