we could sign 11 players for $2 million then never have to worry about injuries again.

One long shot I am holding out hope on--

OKC misses out on Horford and Ryno becomes a sign and trade target for them

We can do Ryno for Morrow, Illysova, Singler, and McGary. Gives us plenty of depth and ability to maintain flexibility.

You can go get a PG before you do the trade for 8-10 mil, then do that deal

Gonna take more than 10 per to keep Bulls from matching. Maybe 12. You still digging him?

Just a speculation by you or have there been any internal discussions about such a possibility? That would be a great deal for Pelicans.

OKC has him on their short list and unless they just dump Kanter, a sign and trade is their best course of action

Something fans need to understand is that if a player has a good relationship with his team, he is ALWAYS restricted. For example, Ennis will bring his best offer back to us and give us a chance to match

It wouldn't happen often, but Kanter and Ryno on the court at the same time would be amazing to watch. Offensively and especially defensively.

I would be stoked if we could make a trade like that. That would keep us from blowing future cap room in this wild free agency period and get a couple of serviceable players.

OKC misses out on Horford, Durant re-signs, OKC wants Ryno, and Ryno wants to go to OKC over other spots.

They could have a combined 50 PER and a negative +/-. It'd be a sight to behold

Possibly, but control changes. Same offer with a better opportunity elsewhere would trump that relationship. It is not as firm as a restriction (which puts control in team's hands). This is why I am a little surprised the Pelicans did not give QO to Ennis just to maintain the control for such a small dollar amount.

I figured that they did to have the cap space for max guys like Batum and Parsons, but they didn't even get a meeting.

Maybe so. I would have hoped they would have already had a good feeling about where they stood by then.
