Lin about to be off the board. Another possible overpay averted.

Honestly, I am just hoping they throw their money at a RFA or two, then the other teams wait all 3 days and match. Then, we get a few leftover guys, who honestly aren't that different from the guys signing on July 3rd and 4th.

People were bitching about the blazers last year but they turned out ok

The Blazers had 12 guys under the age of 25 on their team, half of which they drafted. And those 12 don't include Mason Plumlee, Ed Davis, or Gerald Henderson, who are all under 28.
They also have a decent coach, and a ball handler that can get his shot off whenever and whereever he wants.

We have 3 guys under 25, AD/Buddy/Frazier, and two that we drafted.
Our coach isn't looking that great, which isnt' surprising given his track record, although i'm still on baord with him for 1 more year.
Tyreke Evans is our best ball handler that can get his own shot off.

See the difference.
We dont' have CJ McCollum, or Allen Crabbe, or Moe Harkless, or Myers Leonard to step up into a bigger role and produce.

Why's everyone considered Tyreke to be gone when his production to salary ratio is getting better by the minute?

Because I know how bad the medical chart is. If he was healthy, he would be a solid asset.

I get that

I'm talking about getting more unheralded guys that can be better than the sum of their parts that won't excite people at first.

Most people said they wanted Demps to be patient. To follow a Portland model, even.

We do.

They just may do that and people will bitch because they couldn't get Parsons on a max.

I was hoping for at least Dudley. I'm sure some people will blame Demps and assume he's an idiot for not "trying harder", my complaining is going to be more about the shitty situation we're in and how far we've fallen. But you don't get back up by rushing and taking on bad contracts.

Also, what if they did bring in a Euro big and ship out Asik for free? Gordon and Asik would be off the roster, they'd have drafted Buddy and only added responsible contracts, literally everything the fan base has wanted, yet we would still be disappointed

I would go after Langston Galloway, Brandon Rush, and Andrew Nicholson. Bring back Ennis and call it a day. I think all 4 of those guys are hungry and dying to prove themselves in bigger roles. Might not be the splashiest summer, but I would like to root for that team.

The smartest move we cant attract established players. So it better to swing the fence and slight over pay a untapped potential guy. Worse come to worse we still pick off the scrap heat like we would have done anyway.

Fans like shiny new things.

the questions for fans would be: did we choose to be responsible or did Demps get forced to because literally no one of value wants to sign with us?

Beyond that, fans are disappointed because despite it being perhaps the right approach, it's really hard to concede on a season on July 1.

Someone we met with would rather sign with the Nets. The Nets.

That hurts.

I like Galloway more than Lin, regardless of money. FAR better defender and shooter. Also, younger, from Baton Rouge and hungry. Go get him Dell!
