Chances are we offered Jrue $25 mil or whatever a little less than max. He'll "sleep on it" and see what other offers he gets tomorrow from Indy and NY. If they top our offer, he might be gone. I wouldn't be totally upset losing him in general, but I think it hurts us if we lose him and have to operate under the cap. Not saying give him the max just to stay over, but there should be a middle ground that works for both parties.

Hearing Pelicans, fresh off re-signing Jrue Holiday, will be engaging with veteran G Nick Young, last with the Lakers, today.

Holy hell is Nick Young actually 31? I was thinking he was way younger than that. It's fine as long as we give him a short term deal, I was just hoping he might have hit that age in his career where he'd mature some. I guess not

We need an explosive scorer in the worst way. Young looks to be the cheapest option out there. Comes with maturity issues but he is still a low risk option with Moore on the roster.

Pelicans aggressively working to add guard talent, will also connect with veteran PG Ty Lawson (Kings) today as well as Nick Young.

Makes me wonder if Cousins was recruiting Lawson? Would love this to happen.

Pels made sneaky good move on Draft night to get Duke G Frank Jackson, but looking for veteran scoring/playmaking as well.

I wonder if they backed off trying to sign Justin Holiday.

I would hope that we would use the MLE on Nick Young or Ty Lawson

Expect the Knicks to move Courtney Lee if they can get George Hill to agree to a deal. They're looking into it.

Any way we could make this work/would it be a viable option?

He makes about a 11 million a year so we'd probably have trouble making space and even then I'd be tight. But I like me some Courtney Lee.

I like this over what we have been talking about with Swaggy P and Ty Lawson. It feels like we want 3 Etwaun Moores as opposed to using that money for one obviously better player

PG Michael Carter-Williams got a call from the Rockets last night, a source said. New York, OKC, Dallas, NO & Charlotte have interest, too.

Yeah he blows. I see him as a minimum guy.

I'd rather give those minutes to Quinn Cook and see what he does with them

he's not good, but for a minimum, it's worth a look.

we just have to be realistic with who they can get given current $$ and franchise rep. these are the types of guys they have to look for- reclamation projects. MCW is probably beyond repair, but he's still young and can maybe offer something defensively
