Instead of dumping Ajinca, could we not get someone worth a shite with Dante and the 2018 second?
a guy like Bembry from Atlanta, although he's been hurt, or McConnel in Philly.
If Indy wants to take back salary for a pick, Ajinca/2nd for Joe Young. Kid doesn't really play over there, and he might not amount to anything, but at least he has potential, and you get rid of Ajinca now.

Dante has veto power so you'd probably need to get a 3rd team involved that he'd accept getting traded to.

What's important to Dante though. Playing on a playoff team? playing on a team that will resign him? living in a better city?

It is a bit more complicated with Dante. He effectively has a no trade clause. If rumors are to be believed, there are only a handful of teams he would go to with Minny being at the top. So we would have to probably involve a 3rd team where Minny gives us an expiring for Dante, we ship the expiring and 2nd(s) to 3rd team for useful piece. We also have to worry about the hard cap.
You can get a better player back just using Dante, but we have less ammo to move Anjica in the offseason and dont want to take on salary next year.

Do you think it's going to take more than a 2nd rounder to move Ajinca in the offseason, b/c if so, then i'd say trade Dante to Minny for a 2nd rounder if possilbe if they really want him.

I think it very well might take two 2nds to move him this offeason without taking back any salary.

I'm thinking 2 2nds at least plus 2-3 million in cash will be what it takes to dump Ajinca.
